Staff speak English. Nice firm bed. Location is near the office where I work (MoH)
Food is great, but you have to serve Pho yourself comparing to other 5 stars hotels, they would serve and bring it to your table. Staff forgot to deliver newspaper to my room daily.
Nice place to stay, but it wouldn't beat other 5 stars hotels.

Situated in a quite strategic location, quite near to famous Hoan Kiem lake and the night market, easily can get restaurants/cafes nearby. Services provided is excellent and the transportation like taxi can be easily accessible. Will recommend to friends/relatives if they were to visit Hanoi. Will miss it dearly

Almost in the center of the city.
The hotel is good. Nice and clean rooms. The personell is very friendly and cooperative.
Breakfast is good. Also the food in both restaurants of the hotel was good. I was only there for a couple of days, but I enjoyed staying there. For future,if I come back in Hanoi, I will try to stay in this hotel again.

Friendly staff
Buffet meals excellent
Distance from Old quarter etc.
Limited recreational facilities
The hotel is not the most modern in Hanoi, but it is well maintained, clean, friendly, and service was excellent. A la carte food was limited, however the buffets for breakfast, lunch and dinner were all excellent with many choices.
The traffic in Hanoi must be seen to be believed, so being some distance from most tourist attractions, meant time was wasted when going sightseeing. Having said that however, the Temple of Literature is within walking distance and is well worth visiting.
Shopping Tip : Bottled water is a MUST in Hanoi. In the hotel it is expensive but there is a small local shop in Cat Linh St that has a good selection at a very low price.

The booking give me a very good experience with Agoda. Normally if I booked using voucher, the hotel won't allow me to check in if I can't manage to present the printed voucher, but Agoda booking is very advance, the Hotel already have my name registered into the system, when I told them I forgot to print the voucher, they can verify using my passport and compare with the system and allow me to check in without and hassle. And this hotel is very convenient to go everywhere in Hanoi.
The website information about the hotel that I booked, is very accurate, and it turn out well too... the hotel experience is very good and it is almost hassle free. The price is also cheaper than what we can get from the hotel directly if we were to book from other website. Agoda is my first experience and I am sure I will continue to use Agoda as my path to book hotel for future too.

Good rooms, at good rate. small minimart nearby for amenities. Good selection of food items
wireless is not suited for video and voice calling over the internet. Should have wired option for those who need it
Very happy with the stay, very pleasant hotel for both the business as well as holiday traveler
Shopping Tip : A small grocery store next to hotel

Good top class hotel in general - room quality, cafes, courteous helpful staff, good location, very good fair location for us
Wifi Internet fees are abhorent! Internet should be free and not an extra cost imposed on guests by the hotel. All potable drinking water should also be free. I almost wanted the hotel to change my towel everyday and was not wooed by the environmental message in lieu of these extra costs!

friendly and helpful front desk
location away from outlets and cafes; furnishings a bit worn out
the front desk manager was v helpful, even upgraded us to a better room. when we wanted to make a day trip to Halong bay, we were told to pay USD 130/pax for private tour, which was outside out budget. However, another staff managed to find alternative at USD 46. we thought that was a bargain. however, upon checking at the tour, the package was sold at USD 30 only. well you win some and lose some.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : ask help from the front counter, either for tours or restaurnts.

* General statement: Good.
* Good location from airport and for attending exhibitions in International or National Convention center.
* Good general service and breakfast.
* Some services like business center, travel desk...need to be improved.
* Being a 5 star hotel, is not among the best 5 star in Hanoi.
Horison is a good deal if you are staying a short time in Hanoi and your needs are focused in surrounding areas of town. It is not among the best 5 stars in town, but in case of getting a good rate, it could be a good deal. Not too far from downtown, it doesn't have so hot location as Melia, Somerset or Hilton.

* location from airport and convention centers.
* Good option if you get a good rate.
* Services like business center, travel desk...must be improved.
* It is not among the best 5 star hotels in town.
In case you get a good rate as I did, then Horison is a good deal for Hanoi. If your stay is short, or your location must be close to National or International convention centers, then it is very worthy. If you are looking for downtown location, or for a real 5 star hotel, Horison is not the place to be. Any other like Melia, Hilton, Somerset are offering better services and rooms. Facilities in Horison are average service also and details are not so easy to find in this 4 and half star hotel.

Good location for us, helpful friendly staff, great facilities.
Great stay at the Horison. Enjoyed the oasis from the hustle & bustle of Hanoi. Staff were great - very helpful & friendly.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Visit to the Temple of Literature (easy walking distance) is a must.

Good rooms and facilities, pleasant reception staff
Not well located for either business or tourism purposes
A well appointed hotel with nice rooms and good restaurant facilities, etc. Reception staff helpful but restaurant staff inattentive and have very little English language ability. Poorly located for access to most tourist facilities; and taxis are notoriously cheeky in Hanoi. Lttle in the way of alternative dining and related facilities in the area.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Beware of taxi-sharks

Internet a bit slow but probably typical of Hanoi
I used the hotel for business and stayed for a few days on a holiday. For both purposes the hotel met my exectations and exceeded it in the service area where the bell captain performed miracles at times.
Hotel Feature Tip : Ask the Bell Captain anything about Hanoi or where to go for dining or sightseeing and they are excellent

Very nice hotel with supporting staff.
Breakfast Buffet is not that good for a 5 star hotel.
Very nice and big room but room service is not that good.
Hotel Feature Tip : Hotel bar is not good to standard, looks more or less than 3 stars hotel.

Service, food, room size etc.
This was my first stay at Hanoi Harison. The hotel is excellent and staff is very co-operative. The food is great in all the restaurants. Very elaborate breakfast and if you leave too early they provide you the Breakfast box as a surprise. Very fast Wifi internet service. Everything is well and not too far from the city centre. I will come back.
Shopping Tip : The city centre is very close but every shop bargains a lot.
