Every time an Agoda customer checks out of a hotel we send them an email asking them to write a review of their stay. This is the only way reviews can be submitted. Every review must then be approved by our content team before being posted on the Agoda website. Therefore, unlike many other travel sites, ALL Agoda reviews are certified and genuine.
We want you to pay the lowest possible rate for your room. If you have reserved a hotel room through Agoda, and then show us that you could book the same room, for the same dates, at a lower rate, that is viewable and bookable on another website, within 48 hours of booking your room with us, we will either match that rate or beat it. The staff are very helpfull as much as they can influence

Cleanliness was poor. Water pressure awful

We stayed 2 nights at the hotel not because of the hotel but beacause Hanoi didn,t have enough attraction for us.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : I bought our trip to Ha Long Bay which was exellent. Hotel arranged our trip to Hue' and Laos. This part was not worthy and sometimes awful

- Very friendly and helpful staff - Good location (close to Old Quarter area)

- Poor hygience condition in the room (insects on bedsheets, cups with stains, etc) - Non-functional socket and phone - Execessive noise past mid-night due to neigbouring night club

Hanoi Palace Hotel is situated in a very convenient location with ample street food choices and foreigner-friendly pubs in the proximity. It's ideal for traveller who'd like to explore the "city centre" on foot. Amenities-wise, it's really underequipped and cleaniness of the hotel is a major issue I had. The bed sheets in my room had several corpse of insects; room is poorly lighted and the hotel phone wasn't even plugged in. On top of that, my friend and I were bombarded with the disco-music from next door during our stay and has caused great disturbance to our sleeping quality. The staff, however, was enormously friendly and helpful.

Didn't stay but with encouagement they were helpfu Guest Rating: 5.3

N/A as I didn't stay

N/A as I didn't stay

I didn't stay in the end as the Vietnam Visa process was a nightmare and didn't work out. At one stage I requested that the hotel change my dates as it looked like i could arrive later. At first they wouldn't do it but after i told them I would be reviewing thier service on Agoda - irrespective of whether I stayed or not (as i'd paid anyhow) they changed thier stance. Overall i'd say they weren't willing to help until I jumped up and down, sent an email to the GM stating that i'd write a review. Then they helped.

room is big. convenient place in old quarter

a very noisy pub downstairs. pub turns off music at 12am. you have to tolerate it.

the hotel is in good place in old quarter. when you step out, you will see many travel agencies, small shops around. very near shopping streets and the Huem Kim Lake. but I cannot tolerate the noise downstairs in the pub.

Restaurant Tip : be careful of street snacks. you have to ask about price first and then eat, or you will be charged a very high price.

Great location, not for the light sleepers Guest Rating: 8.7

Location is great and the staff are very helpful.

There is a nightclub next door which plays loud music and can be heard at night from your room.

This hotel is a great option for staying in the Old City of Hanoi. The staff are helpful, the price is great and the rooms are clean and have everything you need. The tourist office in the hotel is also very good.

Shopping Tip : Due to this hotel being in the Old City of Hanoi, it is among the 36 streets, which sell a great assortment of items, clothing and souvenirs.

Location, can arrange trips from the hotel, friendly and have a club.

Nothing I can remember.

The Hotel is located at a very nice place buzzing with western and other tourist. Lots of nice cozy restaurants near by. Number of small markets within walking distance for gift shopping. We arranged for the Halong Bay trip from this hotel through the APT Travels. But we didnt get the promised satisfaction as they didnt take us to some places mentioned in their broucher.

-Location -Friendly staff

-Small room -A bit musky smelling -Not a good choice of breakfast menu

The Hanoi Palace Hotel was warm and welcoming. The staff were helpful and good with the service. The hotel is situated right in the OLD QUARTER, so the location was excellent for shopping, sightseeing and restaurants as it was just a stroll down the street. It could have better lighting throughout the rooms and the hallways as well as the lobby. It felt dark and a bit depressing. But the staffs vibrant and cheeriness made up for that. I would give this a 7.5/10.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Situated in the OLD QUARTER, you get to explore the history and culture of the city as its a walk from the hotel. The shopping was fun, and the Hoang Kiem Lake was a nice sight to see in the hustle and bustle of Hanoi city life.

Great location and close to the buzz of Hanoi's busy streets. The staff were very nice and helpful.

Above a nightclub and the music pounded up to the second floor with ease. The windows were compltely bricked in so no fresh air at all. The bed was incredably hard even for Vietnam standards. Roadworks at night and jack hammered all through the night.

Above a nightclub and the music pounded up to the second floor with ease. The windows were bricked in. Great if you want to sleep during the day but bad if you enjoy breathing fresh air. The bed was incredably hard even for Vietnam standards. Luck we weren't in a front room as the do roadworks at night and jack hammered all through the night. you get what you pay for. It could have also just been their worst room... But I doubt it..

Restaurant Tip : Go eat at Bar 69!! Awesome food.

I left the hotel within 30 minutes of checking in. There was a kettle but no tea cups or tea and coffee. There were no bedside lights. I had booked and paid for a city view room but was told this would be 10 dollars more.

As the Cons above. I found an alternative hotel quickly and have complained to Agoda via e mail about the state of the Hanoi Palace. It is nothing like the write up!

Good location.

We got "upgraded" to "better" room in checkin in some reason. The room was extremely noisy and there was ants and a really big dead spider in the room. Once the buffet breakfast was ended before it should. Cook made something to us but she seem a little angry. We were on time.

No restaurant in hotel but there is room service though.
