In the heart of the city, friendly staff
We stayed in this hotel twice, we checked out to go to Halong Bay and came back.
They securely kept the luggage for us.
The location of the hotel is superb, only a couple of minutes walk to the water puppet show and very close to shops and restaurants (in the middle of the Old Quarter).
Staff are friendly, free internet access, great if you dont mind taking the stairs up to the room (up to level 5).

Easy accessibly as it located at the Old Quarter and Night Market. Good Location.
The Hotel is located near to Hoan Kiem Lake as well as the Night Market. Hoan Kiem Lake is nice and there is a temple in the middle of the lake. Food can be easily found in that area, Like HighLand Coffee and KFC. Water Puppet Show is also located nearby. Place of interest liks Ho Chi Minh museum is also located nearby abt 3km away.

Friendly and helful front desk / customer service people, hotel is clean and tidy
No lift (there are rooms on 4th & 5th floor), the room is small (even though I booked deluxe room)
I had pleasant stay at Hanoi Royal Hotel 1 (Cau Go Street). The hotel is strategically located in the middle of old quarters, just opposite hong kiem lake, less than 2 mins walk from puppet show theater and the night market. I could just shopped and went back to the hotel to put my things and continue to shop, very convenient indeed. The front desk people are very friendly and warmth to the guests, I felt very much at home. The hotel is clean and tidy, the only downfall is the room is quite small (even though I stayed in deluxe room) and I was placed on 4th floor without lift service. Besides that, it was a good choice, value for money accomodation
