A shower curtain in the bathrooms would be helpful!
I loved the staff at the Hanoi Silver Hotel. They were always very friendly and helpful. Even when I was out and about in Hanoi and needed help, the hotel staff was able to help me. Was also very convenient that the ATM machine was located right outside the hotel. Would definitely recommend the Hanoi Silver for anyone staying in Hanoi

Superb location, spacious room, staff friendly
Room and bathroom not clean, suburb very noisy
The hotel enjoy of a superb location in the Old Quarter of Hanoi, so don't expect anything quiet, the Old Quarter is really busy and noisy. The hotel is near Hoan Kiem Lake and dining and shopping options. The room are quite spacious, but not as clean as describe in agoda website. The staff is very friendly and helpful (english speaking also which helps). The hotel offers the basic facilites and is fine the price we paid. You can get a bit cheaper next door (the Sports Hotel) for the same range of facilitied offered. To book tours, you better go to the Sports Hotels wich offers better deals. In general the Silver Hotel is fine for the price we paid.
Restaurant Tip : Try the New Day restaurant in Ma May street or Cafe Musique in front of the Cafe des Arts (nice restaurant too but really expensive). If you book a tour for SAPA, try to sleep in a Homestay and book only 1 night. Then organise a tour by yourself (pay a guide) if you want to avoid too touristy place.
