the staff upgraded us to a room with a lake view lake and were friendly and helpful organising a tour to SaPa for us and storing our bags while we were away.

Small quaint room, great views of Hoan Kiem Lake. 5th floor excellent for quietness, excellent restaurants at your door, walking distance to everywhere and great people watching. Basic breakfast, omelette, Pho, but very good, enough. Fast internet readily available. Would recommend and definitely stay again. Staff very obliging and helpful, friendly, efficient.
