The hotel is located in the old town area, which is the major attraction of Hanoi. Almost all the tourists choose to stay in this area, since you can wander around in the narrow streets nearby and feel the exotic atmosphere which you can't find anywhere else. The Hoan Kiem Lake is within walking distance. My room is clean, quiet and confortable, with 24-hour hot water supply. The room has a window, though it does not open to the outside, but to the light well in the middle of the building.
Convenient location, clean hotel and clean room.
I don't like they keep your passport until you leave, but I guess that's the normal practice in all Vietnamese hotels.
- Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Walking out of the hotel and just wandering in any direction.

The reception made us feel welcome as well as dining room staff
- Travel tip : Motorbikes everywhere-on sidewalks, on streets and even building lobbies. So walking is slow. Opera House many nights has shows and water puppet shows several times a day.

Motorbikes are everywhere--streets, sidewalks, markets and even some buildings so walking in the city can be a problem.
- Nightlife Tip : Across the street from hotel is good jazz bar.
