Executive rooms are clean, good and spacious, nice bathrooms but all on back site without a view. Reasonable price. Several main attractions are within minutes walking distance.
Location in the heart of old town is too noisy because of constant traffic chaos and very inconvenient. No good cafes, restaurants or bars nearby. Only cloth shops! Wouldn't stay in that area again. When we booked a train ticket the front desk got mixed up with the date and we had difficulties to get a ticket for another train and had to pay extra 15 Dollars!
This is a middle class hotel for people who like to stay in the middle of a very hectic china town with horrendous traffic and constantly horning. Front desk tries its best to be helpful but none of them speak proper English, so its not easy to understand them. That causes misunderstandings so be careful with bookings. The breakfast is not worth to be mentioned.
Restaurant Tip : Try out the Cha Ca La Vong restaurant a view blocks away. And plan enough time for the Temple of Literates. Best way to explore the town is a bicycle but don't pay much more than 2 Dollars per hour.

The style and confort of the rooms
Rooms at the front side are very noisy.\nBreakfast is medium.\nNo elevator, which may be hard when you stay on the 5th or 6th floor.
We were firts booked in a front room, but requested to be changed to a back room because of the incessant hanoi street noise.\nAll bey all the rooms are quiet comfortable and the style reminds of old french ( paris) style.
Restaurant Tip : The vietnamese \"Dalat wine \" is very good and extremely cheap. 60.000 dong in a shop. About about 200.000 dong in a restaurant...
