Noise from construction on new building
This small but luxurious hotel provides everything you need. It has an internet, satallite TV and go air con for those steamy hot days. The staff is kind and helpful and I would stay long term if need be. The location is convenient to all venues. One of my favorite hotels.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The hotel does an excellent job of booking tours.

Centrally located. In the middle of things.
The hotel failed to mention the all-day/all-night construction going on 2 meters from our window. Street noise was incredibly loud, too. Unhelpful staff.
My daughter and I hated this hotel. We could never get any sleep. The fact that the staff were quite rude when I complained about the construction noise made me very annoyed. I wanted to speak to the hotel manager but was always discouraged from doing so. The tv and aircon did not work very well. The street noise was deafening. If you weren't annoyed by the hammering going on right next door, then the motorcycles or roosters crowing and dogs barking all the time would certainly drive you crazy. We couldn't wait to leave the place. If I hadn't paid for a few nights' stay we would have left after the first night.
Travel tip : Avoid this place during their renovation works. Good luck finding a helpful receptionist! I found only one really nice staff when we were there.

central location, friendly staff
small rooms and noise 24/7
Looking for a central location in Hanoi? The Viet Anh Hotel offers clean, but small rooms. It's a symbol of this growing Hanoi. Improvisations and constructions all around, a computer with internet access in your room and motor noise all day and night. But nice shops and excellent restaurants around the corner, good breakfast and friendly staff. So it's not the place for a honeymoon, but if you are unpretentious, looking for "cool" hotel in Hanoi you will find this hotel as a good solution.
