Excellent value hotel for a city trip to Hanoi
The best 3 things were the perfect location, super friendly, helpful & qualified staff, and all the amenities one could possibly wish for well organized in the compact and clean room, all for a very .

My father and I had an great stay in the Meracus hotel, the best one on our trip through Vietnam. We were warmly welcomed by the - all - very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff who gave us good recommendations. Each of us had a spotless double room, small in size but so well organized that nothing was lacking, and with great pillows. The location in the Old Town and just around the corner from the lake could not have been better, so that even my father, who does not enjoy walking, could watch the city bustle from the front steps. I will definitely stay here again.

This is probably the best hotel I have ever stayed in. 3-star price, 5-star service! All the friendly staff would try their best to help you/meet your request in any possible way. They were even so thoughtful that they left a weather forecast for tomorrow in our room! Their breakfast is really a must try - please wake up earlier to enjoy their breakfast!

Very warm welcome with wet tower & ginger tea by staffs, however we had to wait for long from 11am - 2pm to check in. All the staffs included cleaners always say "hi" & smile to you.
The rooms were very well decorated but small, with a lot of luggage you might have troubles in moving around the room. Very beautiful bathroom with modern gadget.
Breakfast was good.
Good location which is near to hoan kiem lake & night walking market.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
100m walking to Hoan Kiem Lake is the heart of Hanoi. Next to the walking Night Market (Open on Friday, Saturday & Sunday)

Having stayed here a few days earlier, we stayed here again for two additional nights. We were just as pleased with our stay the second time around. The service was just as exemplary and the breakfast was quite tasty and filling. Highly recommend this hotel to others.

Have the hotel call any taxis that you might need to avoid getting ripped off from untrustworthy taxi companies.

This is probably one of the best budget hotels Ive been to. Everything about it is great - the staff were very nice and helpful, location is at the heart of the Old Quarter, breakfast is delicious.
We got a family room and a superior room. Both are spacious. They've got welcoming drinks and lovely touches (like petals on the bed) as their welcome greeting:)
This hotel has exceeded our expectations. All the positive reviews made by others are just so true.
Restaurant Tip:
Try to eat at Newday Restaurant. Just 5 mins walk from Meracus hotel (Old Quarter). They've got great food.

Can't say enough positive things about this hotel. The staff were superb in every way. Our trip to Ha Long for cancelled due to an impending typhoon, the hotel sorted everything out for us even arranging rooms at a partner hotel because they were fully booked when we were supposed to be in ha long. Will stay again. Breakfast was really lovely, with a great choice. There are lots of hotels downtown to choose from, but many of them are not that nice. The Meracus and the Indochina are two of the best (Meracus edges it for me though). Book now, you won't regret it.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Get the hotel to pick you up from Hanoi Intl. airport for around 20 USD.
Book the superior/premier rooms and you get a nice room.

The hotel is at the market, the shoes street, the rooms are comfortable clean, modern design, big enough.the breakfast was very good with a various of choices...about a 100m from the hotel is one of Hanoi's lake, beautiful place, wonderfully restaurants, bars

The hotel will give you a full shopping tip, for a shopper like us it was great!

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel the best in Hanoi after staying in other hotels we then returned back to this one no other hotel can compare with the service that we received from the staff,from the moment that you stepped through their door until you left also breakfast selection was delicious,spacious clean and quiet room.I cannot recommend this hotel more highly
