The bed is pretty cosy and comfortable.
The room is very quite for good rest and good sleep
The price of the room is quite reasonable
You can see the exchange rate very easily through 2 Samsung LCD TV on the front of the hotel at lobby
Air conditioner is quite so you don't have to be bothered by noisy sound from the machine
There is no swimming pool and no billiard pool
Very clean since the hotel opened on Sep 1st, 2009. The location is a kind of center of Hanoi. Reasonable pricing (Sorry for not having swimming pool)
Hotel Feature Tip : Coffee shop nearby : There is a coffee shop which name is "Highland Coffee" nearby (3 mins by walk)
Local Restaurant nearby : There is a nice local restaurant "Ngoc Restaurant". You can ask the restaurant at the front. It's famous for variety of local foods
Massage : I recommend Melia Hotel message. The pricing is a bit high but very good!. You can also ask any reasonable massage shop at the lobby
Taxi stand : Normally there is a taxi waiting in front of the hotel

brand new and very clean

3 minutes walk from train station to Sapa
Can see toilet seat from bed (no privacy at all!!)

Stayed there for two nights in October 2009. Very beautiful brand new hotel, very modern style and clean.
Very good location near the train station to go to Sapa, making it very easy. Be carefull about taxi drivers in Vietnam. They sistematically try to take advantage of you. The Mercure Hotel called us a cab to go to the airport and the price was 14 USD, and the driver was aware. When we got to the airport he charged the meter fare (more than 20 USD) and locked us in inside the taxi because we were arguing about the price. The hotel got to be responsible for the driver they call, because it was booked on the front desk.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Worth to go to Halong Bay and Sapa. We booked with an agency (Ocean Tour) on Hang Bac Street and was really good. On the hotel is much more expensive.

No wifi in room but at lobby area.
We asked to mail our postcards and receiptionist asked for cash to buy stamps. Usually, this is complimentary in most hotels I have stayed in. It's a small thing but still a con nevertheless.
When we checked out, the receptionist refused to give us an invoice. We had to put our foot down strongly as without invoice, we would not be able to claim from company.
Restaurant Tip : Indochine restaurant is 5 minutes walk away. Ask the hotel for directions.
Highland coffee is also a good place to go, have free wifi there.
We have not eaten at hotel.
