This was my favorite hotel I stayed at in Vietnam. The staff was lovely and the rooms were nice and clean. Although the streets surrounding the hotel are busy, the rooms are pretty quiet. The hotel is in a good location in the Old Quarter and is about a ten minute walk from the lake. Also, there is a big backpacker hostel around the corner so if you want to mingle with other travelers or get more info on tours, you have that option.

a perfect stay at a mid-range hotel. service was similar to 4 star/5 star - pre-empting what we would need/like. room was lovely, modern and clean and we had a huge balcony/terrace. laptop in room and giant flatscreen tv. i would highly recommend this hotel. nice breakfast too - buffet and cooked to order hot food (pancakes/french toast/bacon and eggs/pho). fantastic!

the front desk people were very helpful with our activities. they provided us maps. they also had our luggage ready in our room after our trip to halong.
the doorman opened the door every time we came in...and was ready to do so with a smile.
the breakfast buffet was tasty, especially the egg rolls.
we did laundry there and it was well priced.

close to the lake! located in the middle of the hustle and bustle

like all hotel in this area, the rooms are quite small. but it was very clean and the staff was unbelievable friendly; if you need any recommendations for sightseeing, ask the receptionest. even the hotel only had 12 rooms, the breakfast was huge. the hotel is not directly based in the middle of the old town part, but everything can be reached by walk easy; you only need 15 minutes by walk to the famous lake within hanoi city.

We checked in early, were given a free drink upon arrival and were offered breakfast for that day, also for free. The early check-in fee was never charged. All of the hotel staff which we encountered were wonderful. They were friendly and very helpful. We arranged a tour of Halong Bay through the hotel and were given a discount on the price. We also were not charged a fee for using our credit card. We ended up paying less than what our online research would indicate similar tours would go for. Additionally I needed internet access throughout the Halong Bay tour. The hotel arranged this by lending me a 3G USB free of charge. The hotel staff were very attentive and thoughtful. Breakfast was brought up to our room at their suggestion the day of the tour since we were in a hurry. They also held our luggage while we were gone even though we were not able to stay at the same hotel after the tour because all rooms were fully booked. Would highly recommend, and wish I could stay here again on this trip.

The hotel can arrange tours of nearby areas including Halong Bay and Sapa. Be sure to check the pricing through them as they can offer discounts, and it turned out quite well for us. They also arrange everything.

We found the location well located in the old quarter. Everything was walking distance with 10 minutes. Rooms were nice. N bright_ although small but our friend stayed in a more expensive hotel and his was very similar

Turn left at the end of the street and you will find the backpackers there.Walk in and just help yourself to one of their maps.Very detailed on all the spots you ever need to go and do eg nightlife,food,sightseeing
