Very friendly staff.
Good location.
No lift.
Construction going on in surrounding rooms.
Not enough warm water for two showers.
The Rising Dragon Hotel is a small hotel that you have a hard time locating again after walking 50 feet away. It was advertised as a luxury hotel, but it is a very basic although impeccably clean hotel. The room we had was small and on the sixth floor. Hauling luggage up (or down) was not so easy. During our stay most of the other rooms were being renovated, so there were lots of hammering and sawing going on. There was no internet or possibility of hook-up in the rooms, but free use of computers in the entrance room. The breakfast was simple. The big plus was the friendly staff who seemed quite knowledgeable.
Shopping Tip : The surrounding area is a shopping paradise. However, the streets are very dangerous to move along. The sidewalks are full of parked mopeds, street stalls or refuse. There are no space for walking so one has to use the street. The streets has in theory one-way traffic. However, the ocean of mopeds and some cars do not follow rules.
