Nice clean modern hotel

Efficient staff, great location,

We stayed here for 3 nights while looking round Hanoi , it's a clean modern hotel in a good location. The staff were very good and we booked a cruise to halong bay through them with Paloma cruises. Leaving our luggage at the hotel was no problem, and everything was well organised. There is some building work going on next door, but not too noisy. If you get a room overlooking the street there is some loud music at 6.30am every morning ( not sure if it's general announcements on the radio) only lasts 10mins!! Breakfast is excellent, also had dinner here on first night which was also very good.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: Get up early and go to ho chi minh mausoleum, queues move quickly, very interesting.

Value Hotel With All In One Service

Value For Money, Pro-active Customer Service, Good and Clear English, Good Tour Packages
9.7
The hotel is within walking distance from the lake, old quarters streets and the best eating place in hanoi (quan an ngon). Customer service within the hotel will provide recommendations of tour packages, free city tours, eating places, shopping recommendations (what and where to buy) and take a personal interest in making sure that you enjoy what you signed up for. The price of the hotel is value for money, especially with the kind of service you get. Complimentary welcome fruits, bottled water, wifi (with complimentary use of a laptop provided within the room). There are no hidden costs with any of the information provided. the staff are friendly, honest and they get all the information you need/want. Even if they do not have the answer for you immediately, they will ensure you get it as soon as they can find out.

Very friendly and helpful staff

Staff, wifi in rooms, good breakfast!

Unfortunately our room was very noisy due to construction next door, we told the front desk staff and were moved that morning to another room. The staff is the stand out highlight of this hotel. They greet you with a welcome juice and detailed information and personal orientation of the city as well as some recommendations on restaurants, safe cab companies to use and any other information you may need or want. There is a travel desk/ company associated with the hotel if you want to book day trips.
Hotel Feature Tip: Breakfast at the hotel is not only a Buffett -- they have a menu which they don't always volunteer but you can order eggs, pancakes, waffles, and pho made to order.

Great location but small rooms

Price and location

The hotel rooms are basic but hotel staff was excellent and friendly. They were very informative and you can tell that they are very passionate about their work. The location of the hotel is in this tiny, back lane in the old quarter so it will get quiet and dark when walking back night. But it is because of this unique location that you get to experience a snippet Hanoi-an daily life and appreciate the pre-war architectures facing the hotel.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: We were unalbe to visit Halong Bay die to the bad weather but decided to do a city tour instead. The hotel will have free tours available but it is conducted by Vietnamese students trying to practice their English so don't have much expectations. A thing to remember if you are planning to visit the Ho Chi Minh Mauseleoum is to make sure that you are appropriately dressed, knee length and preferable with sleeves or you will be denied entry into the area. Remember to start your day early as the museums close between 11am - 2pm.

We enjoyed our stay here. The staff were so helpful. They moved us to a quieter room and helped us with our travel plans when a typhoon hit Halong Bay. I would highly recommend staying in this hotel!
Restaurant Tip: Go to 'Quan an Ngon' - very high quality of local food at good prices!
