We enjoyed our stay here. The staff were so helpful. They moved us to a quieter room and helped us with our travel plans when a typhoon hit Halong Bay. I would highly recommend staying in this hotel!
Restaurant Tip:
Go to 'Quan an Ngon' - very high quality of local food at good prices!

Perfect for the Old Quarter
9.3
the room we were first given was on the lower floors and there was construction next door the noise woke us up early and made the room unpleasant during the day. we asked to change rooms, certainly! we went out in the morning came back in the afternoon, our luggage had been transferred. the staff were brilliant, nothing was too much trouble. they took the time to tell us about the area, where different shops and restaurants were, we were very happy with our stay. will definitely use this hotel again.

The hotel staff were completely professional and could not do enough to help in any way possible. They are able to organise and arrange all travel to any destination in both Hanoi and all destinations in Vietnam. They really make all sight seeing arrangement hassle free fro its guests. It is possible to get a cheaper price for the various tours from the travel agents in the city centre but these vendors are not always reliable so it is advisable to pay a little more booking through the hotel for peace of mind

Very hospitable, but be careful...
Everyone is really nice and tries very hard to be helpful! The laundry service was quick and good.

We were a group of 4 traveling together. Two people booked a hotel called Rising Dragon and let the other two know. The other two book a hotel called the Rising Dragon as well. We get to Hanoi and go to the "Rising Dragon" - only to find out that there are 8 other hotels called the Rising Dragon and we need to find out which one we booked at. We asked if we could just transfer our booking from one Rising Dragon to another, but they couldn't. Just keep this in mind when booking hotels and looking for reviews online. Make sure you are booking the correct hotel. Apparently this is quite common in Vietnam - lots of different hotel "chains" that have the same name. In terms of room, it's an odd layout and if you're staying with a friend, it can be awkward when showering/going to the bathroom. The shower is separate from the sink/toilet. Both are separated by see-thru glass with the room...so basically you can see the other person showering or going to the bathroom. Even if you're using the sink or toilet, you can see the other person taking a shower. It makes for quite an awkward experience. They do have a curtain in both places, but you can still kind of see thru it.
Nightlife Tip:
There's a ginormous night market in Hanoi where you can buy pretty much anything. Go check it out and make sure to haggle on the price.

Top quality service.
Excellent service and good location.

A good location on the fringe of the Old Quarter, a 5-7 minute walk to the lake. Staff were top quality, excellent service and helpful in all aspects. A good buffet breakfast to start the day, and help with all enquiries, and booking our Halong Bay cruise. We left our bags at hotel and returned for three more nights. Only down side is construction work on one side of hotel. Discuss with staff to ensure best room.
Restaurant Tip:
Eat at one of the many sidewalk 'plastic seat' cafes, just point at the food you wish to order.

Great hotel, very friendly staff.
Clean/tidy, good price, friendly staff

i stayed at their hotel only one night as i had to continue to halong bay. on my way pack to hanoi (i had to catch a train) i picked up my luggage that i stored at the hotel. as their hotel had a vacant room, they offered it to me so that i could take a shower, for free.
all in all the staff was friendly and flexible. the hotel is in a small street and while driving into the street i did not expect to find a hotel with such good service. i slept very well.
in short: if i travel to hanoi again, i would stay at this hotel again.
in the evening i walked to the night market, which only took me 10 minutes.
