Nice little botique hotel with very friendly staff

Friendly Staff

on arrival, i was greeted with friendly staff who insisted on taking my one small carry-on up to my room. the room was rather small, but clean and very nicely decorated. the shower pressure was good and there were lots of hot water. the buffet breakfast didn't have a huge selection, but it was very good. whilst the location is decent, its tucked away in a small lane off the main streets, so it was hard to find. apparently, there are a few rising dragon palace hotels in the area and the taxi driver took me to a wrong one first. so be sure you print a map of the right one to take with you!

Great service, small rooms, interesting area

Near the lake, lots of shopping, friendly staff

The building was under construction, so there were drilling sounds during the day that you could hear through the walls. The nice part is that there were no issues during the night, just the occasional sounds of trains passing through Hanoi. The staff were exceptionally well trained and friendly, and extremely helpful. They even helped me get my pants repaired, reattaching both pockets for US$2(!). It is great to have locals who will get the Vietnamese price for things... I am sure it would have cost me $6+ for the same thing, and I am assuming there is some tip built in for the staff. Even so, we couldn't help but share a tip for the gracious people working here. Small room, but highly recommended, very clean, great!

Great Location - very very noisy

Wonderful staff

There was building work each side of the hotel so the manager found another hotel in the same group very close by. The standard of this hotel, Hanoi Spring 11 was much lower but what it lacked in quality it was made up for by the wonderful, helpful and friendly staff.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: One of the hotel staff acted as our guide and did not want any payment but wanted to use his English. We gave him a handsome tip and paid for taxi's and a cheap meal

Diamond in the rough.

excellent service, great location, modern hotel, clean

the rising dragon palace hotel is located in a quaint little street in the middle of bustling hanoi. the hotel is immaculate; clean and modern, but distinctly vietnamese. it was the perfect base for all our activities: jogging around hoan kiem lake, shopping in old quarter, and a 10 min walk from our new favorite restaurant, quan an ngon. the staff at rising dragon palace was superb, going above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable. for example, the first night, we were mistakenly placed in a smaller room than that of which we booked. the next day, the manager moved us to the correct room in the front with a balcony, and refunded us the difference. in another instance, we were having difficultly looking for lotus tea, so the night manager personally took us to find it in old quarter on his day off. (thanks, hong!) as if that wasn't enough, they let us keep our bags in storage while we took our overnight trip to halong bay. finally, on our last day, they even sent an escort with us to the train station to make sure we got in the right cabin! see the running theme here? free breakfast is better than the typical ''continental" offerings you'd find in the states. laundry service on site. only downside, there's construction going on either side of the hotel, but it didn't bother us one bit. if you're looking for a great hotel with 5-star service in a central location in hanoi, i highly recommend rising dragon palace, just make reservations early... the bell hop told me they're already booked solid a few weeks out!
Hotel Feature Tip: Book Deluxe City View with Balcony at the front of hotel. It might be wise to check your room first before you check-in. The original room we got did not match the picture on Agoda, but were moved to the correct room after we pointed it out.

we checked into a family room. there were two big king size bed. the reception is very friendly and welcoming. very nice breakfast spread. even has menu where you can choose crepe, pho and eggs. not located on a main street so less traffic noise. however they are expanding the hotel and construction work starts very early. round 6am.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: Walking distance with the lake

The service is the best I have ever been

Service, service and service

we stayed there for two nights and our stay was pleasant and staff was nice.. what impressed us is when we checked out and headed for sapa, we left our two luggage there and came back two days later at 5:30 to retrieve them, the staff was nice and said if the hotel was not booked, he would offered us a room to freshen up since we only needed it for two hours before being picked up for halong bay.. their sister hotel offered our friends who arrived earlier than us a room to freshen up.. and when we met up with our friends around 7 am, they helped our friends to make an international call free of charge and we had breakfast there and they only charged the adults..there were 4 kids and two of them are 6 years old and they still ate there for free.. i had never seen a hotel like this.. and i highly recommend this hotel to everyone.. the only problem is that there is a construction right next to it and they start early like 8am so if you like to sleep in, it might be a problem or you want to ask a room that's farther from it...since we had to wake up earlier for sightseeing, we didn't find it a big problem for us
