After a short flight from BKK, arrived in hanoi airport to be attacked by taxi hawkers. Ignore them, go to the taxi rank outside, they are 100,000 VND cheaper. Arrived at the hotel to good english speaking attentive staff.Room was ready, but a light did not work, so they immediately transferred us to another room on a higher floor. Breakfat only average...with such good cooks in Hanoi, you would think they could improve this. All in all enjoyed the stay in this hotel.
Restaurant Tip: Green Tangerine is a v nice restaurant

Average hotel

This hotel has attended our every need when we got there until we left. The view from our deluxe was average and would be expected given the area we are in. There was a confusion with the payment at the end when I paid partially cash and part credit card. The manager there emailed me back and told me I hadn't paid. This was sorted out quickly when the manager spoken to the staff who attended this at reception.

Nice place to stay. Room is nice and the shower was amazing! When we first got there, we were very tired from our flight, so asked if we could have a room even though it was way before check-in time. While they didn't have a room available in the hotel we were booked for, their sister hotel had a room and they happily let us take a nap there until our room was ready. Very nice of them. Overall it was great. Only thing was there was construction going on right next door, so it woke us up in the morning, but that will only be temporary.

The ho chi mingh Maselleum was excellent and is a must se for the trip. The people of Vietnam are the best! The hotel staff were so friendly and would go the extra mile to ensure that you were having the best stay available! The hotel show and bathroom was unique and was a very high standard.

What a friendly hotel in Hanoi. The staff, esp the front-desk were very helpful & friendly. When we returned to Hanoi at 6am from Sapa on overnight train and didn't sleep well, we reached the hotel at 6:15am to pick luggage to airport, they offered us complimentary breakfast & room to shower. What great empowerment the staff has to serve customers all the way. Great job guys!!!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: Check carefully if you book local tours to Halong & Sapa. They don't give much details like type of sleeper trains & hotels.

Outstanding Customer Service!

The staff were so helpful and friendly. Couldn't do enough for us. Great location. Cosy rooms but everything you need if you are out most of the day.

i had several emails with annie from this hotel prior to arriving. she was so helpful, answering all my questions and arranging a taxi to collect us at the airport, ha long bay tour, and just being very friendly. i awas so happy to actully meet her. the staff when we arrived were exceptional, nothing was too much trouble. cuong, the customer service manager, was also outstanding. they took my husband to top up his mobile phone credit and the morning we left they gave us a take away breakfast pack! just all the little things that make your stay memorable. the location is good - and you can walk to most places of interest. there are building works going on either side of the hotel, but it didn't really bother us. all adds to the experience!

Overall very happy with the hotel. It is on a side street and whilst still located in the Old Quarter it is in a quiet part so you don't get bothered with lots of traffic out the front making a noise. The room was smallish but for the money it was good value. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly and helped us sort a few itinerary problems. The breakfast was simple but yummy and overall very happy with the stay. The only downside is a slightly hard bed but having been to China I was quite used to it but the girlfriend needed one night's adjustment. Definitely wouldn't let that put you off though - the hotel was definitely worth the money.
