Great location with friendly staff

Staff were friendly and considerate. Rooms were clean and decently sized.

i enjoyed my stay very much at the hotel. the rooms were modern and clean and the staff were very friendly and more than willing to help me with my queries. it was easy to walk to the other parts of the town, and we were able to walk from the lake back to the hotel in about 20 minutes.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: Staff at the hotel were able to arrange for our day trip to Halong Bay which was very convenient for us. The cost of the day trip was about USD 65 and included transportation, meals, junk boat ride in Halong Bay and a hike up the mountain.

Beautiful hotel, a service with a smile. @.@

Great staff and walking distance to Old Quarter of Hanoi

we arrive pretty late to hanoi city ..nice to arrive to a comfortable, relax hotel with friendly staff awaiting for you with a smile. first thing, we wanted to eat local seafood. the staff from rising dargon palace was very informative and gave us map n direction. we had great sleep, little disturbance and the balony view overseeing the old quarter of hanoi was great. minute walking distances to the main streets - old quarter. our travel plans have change from visiting danang hoi an and sapa and back to hanoi.. we loved every bit of our stay at rising dargon palace that we rebook with the manager. to our amazement. as soon as we arrive, everyone from floor staff to management level remember our sapa trip. for 3.5 star hotel the service was better then any five star hotel we have experience in vietnam. ***** thanks to all the staff at rising dargon palace..

Hated Hanoi but loved the hotel

Great service, nice room with balcony, located in old quarter

The service was outstanding. When we arrived to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary, they had decorated our bed with red rose petals, had a bottle of wine and a cake for us. We arranged a airport pick up service for $17 and thought it was worthwhile instead of taking a local taxi. They have a very good selection for their breakfast. Unfortunately, we did not enjoy Hanoi, it is way too busy, cold and not that clean. Nonetheless, we would recommend this hotel.

Very friendly and helpfull staff

Very central and still quite

The staff was extremely friendly and helpfull. When we arrived they offered us a free breakfast when they did the romm ready. (We arrived 9am). You will like the quite area in Hanoi, you don't see that very offen. There is free WiFi and even a laptop in the room very nice.

Lovely staff and great location

Staff at this hotel are amazing, they went above and beyond their duties and always aimed to please.

As always in Vietnam there were issues with the heating in the room. Hotel staff remedied this by providing plug in heaters and this worked for us. The rooms were neat and tidy and the restaraunt was reasonably priced. We were able to book all of our tours from the hotel and staff were incredibly helpful. This was evident right from the beginning when one of them discovered that I was sick and took me to the pharmacy to translate so that I got the correct medication. Hotel is in easy walking distance to the centre of town, shops and restaraunts.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: Best sights were halong bay and sapa. If you go to sapa try a home stay - the locals are really friendly and you'll have a much more genuine experience of village life. Also, take lollies (candy) for the local kids, they'll love you for it. The poverty is a bit shocking so be prepared to see barefooted children in the middle of winter.

A little gem of a hotel in the heart of Hoan Kiem.

New, modern, clean, personalised service and great staff.

The hotel was a gem! Tucked in-between some old buildings, it's modern, stylish and comes with warmth, friendly and helpful staff. Our Deluxe Room was a tad small for 2 pax, but nevertheless, it was very clean, good facilities provided and the beds and pillows were very comfortable. I would suggest an upgrade next time, to the higher floors with windows and balcony. However, they are quite generous with their daily breakfast and really value-for-money. The staff ensured that we had more than enough to eat, and you could almost experience "butler" service as there were like 3 to 1 at one point of time! The Customer Sales Manager - Mr Cuong Nguyen, was most accommodating and helpful and went out of his way to ensure that we had a comfortable stay. He made all the arrangements for our Halong Bay trip, without any glitches! :-) All our incessant querries were always answered with a gentle "For sure!" :-)He even arranged for a local guide (his personal friend) for our 2 days city tour of Hanoi, a Mr.Son, a very good English speaking guide and quite knowledgeable. My sister felt sick in the midst of our city tour, and he took my sister back to the hotel and ensured that she was OK, that was a very wonderful gesture. He even told off a taxi who wanted to fleece us with a VND100,000 taxi ride around the Old Quarters to Quan An Ngon Restaurant! We were very touched by his honesty and thanks to Cuong, we discovered Hanoi with peace of mind and had a wonderful time. Overall, the location of this hotel is pretty good, within walking distance to the restaurants, cafes, Old Quarters and shops, and we felt very safe! :-) Our journey back to the airpot was made memorable as Cuong arranged for a complimentary special MPV to compensate us when we were "left stranded" upon our arrival at the airport earlier! On the whole, a very pleasant holiday, with a good hotel and with great staff!
Restaurant Tip: We wanted to visit Cha Ca La Vong as we heard so much praises for it,but also heard that it was over-rated. So we asked Cuong, our hotel's Customer Sales Manager, and he recommended Cha Ca Thang Long instead, which was just a walking distance from Rising Dragon Palace. It was a great discovery, food was good, service was good (well, for first-timers like me!)and value-for-money! Try it.

Th only dow side to the stay we had there was the fact that there was no real window in the bathroom just a small one in the toilet.

We felt the family atmosphere since our arrival to the hotel. The receptionist was literally waiting for us which is quite nice when you are arriving in a new and unknown country after a long trip. The room was comfortable even though was small which is understandable due the the hotel location right in the old quarter. The breakfast was good and Internet fast enough to have a quick look on our emails. All in all, small hotel, with great service and location, ideal to people who want to be close to everything.

good service

The receiption people are very friendly and helpful

(1)Rooms are clean and laundry charge is low. (2)Location is not so well, one side of rooms are facing the railway, though the window keeps noise mostly outside. (3)Breakfast is good too.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: Rent a motobike from hotel receiption is easy and useful.
