First Timers Must stay in Hanoi
The hotel is clean, comfotable and ideaaly located. Tha staff were fantastic.

the staff at the rising dragon palace hotel are english literate which helps when visiting for the first time. there assistance in organising tours, information on hanoi and accomodating several "big asks" by me were highly appreciated.
without asking they organised arefund on a tour i could not make, provided rooms to freshen up between tours and first thing on a tour return made my stay most memorable.
there assistance was most appreciated at the time

All staff of the hotel are so kind and caring
7.3
All staff of the hotel are so kind and caring.
but the hotel was quite noisy bcoz it's on renovation.
and the soundproof was not good even i could hear the sound of show in the next room.
location is good, near the travel st. walking distance but around the hotel, there's nothing to do. (restaurants)
blackfast is quite good. they provide menu for blackfast.

Beautiful Hotel and service with a smile
Service, Beautiful rooms, in room internet, modern, comfortable beds and pillows
8.3
on arrival was upgraded to the king suite which was awesome. the hotel is about 10 minutes walk from the lake. can be difficult to find as not on a main road. this is good in that traffic noise is minimal. the streets are narrow, crowded with markets, bikes, and more bikes, and the train line is about 100metres away from the hotel ( heard the train once at night). apart from the hotel being so well appointed the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. this more than compensated for any difficulty in finding the place.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
make the time to go to halong bay. definitely recommend a 2 or 3 day trip as the bus takes 4 hours and 1 day is not enough. i booked through kangaroo cafe ( see their website) and can definitely vouch for their service and trip. the price was great too.

Nice hotel and wonderful staff
most helpful and pleasant staff one can hope for, nice modern room
9.7
This is a small, modern, recently built hotel on the edge of old part of town and close to everything. It has all that is needed for a pleasant stay. But the best thing about it was the culture of helpfulness and friendliness of the staff. As an example, when I needed some medicine to take care of some minor illness, the customer service manager insisted to walk with me to a nearby pharmacy to interpret and make sure I received what I was looking for. I am writing this from the very posh and expensive Intercontinental hotel in Ho Chi Minh City--and even though I have no complaints about the Intercontinental, I cannot expect the kind of personal attention I received at the Rising Dragon. I highly recommend this hotel and would be glad to stay there again.

Excellent customer service with a smile
Pleasant renovated modern rooms, helpful staff
9.3
we arrived at the hotel late and welcomed with a lovely smile and helpful staff. the rooms were newly renovated and compact, with a small balcony. the breakfast was freah and with a good selection, they even packed us a take away when we had to go early to the train. the travel agent was great listening to what we wanted booked and gave excellent advice on trains to sapa. we liked the hotel and staff so mich that we stayed another day when we returned from sapa. the manager was very good resolving an issue with a cruise which we appreciated greatly.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Be very careful at the markets, as pickpocketers will crowd around in threes and you will not feel there hands going into your pockets and bags. Do not walk down alleyways late at night as friends got cornered and robbed it does happen.

Great Hotel Fantastic Service
Clean, Friendly, Affordable
8.7
This hotel was very good overall. Some have reviewed that the staff are overly attentive, I believe this is just due to their extremely high standards for customer service which many other countries are lacking - the staff were superb and very very informative and helpful, I believe they are also this way as they see the importance of a good recommendation, not necessarily first and foremost for the tipping. We had a deluxe city view and to be truthful - well there wasnt much of a city view to speak of just a dirty, noisy alley way - but the room itself was very nice. There is however not alot of privacy with the glass doors in the toilet/shower area. I was not a fan of the restaurant in the basement with the elevator service for the food, but my husband didnt have any issues with it, and we only had breakfasts there as there are so many great restaurants in Hanoi. At the end of the day this is cheap 3 star accommodation and what you get for the price is very good and has bettered some of the 4 star hotels ive stayed in Australia for a 1/4 of the price. This hotel is extremley lucky to have the staff it has, as any one of them would do well in a 5 star establishment. The hotel is also in the old quarter and in good distance to everything central.
Restaurant Tip:
Eat out - try all the restaurants as recommended by staff - the food is great

Lovely and cosy hotel in the old district of Hanoi
comfortable, cosy, great service of the staff
8.7
I had been the first time to Hanoi and choosen this hotel because of the location and the value price.
Room was nice decorated, clean and spacious.
Wi-Fi for free at the entire Hotel.
The staff always great you with a smile and very accomodate.
Anyhow, if come back to Hanoi for business trip would choose rather a typical "business hotel", but for holiday/sightseeing this hotel is your choice.
