Nice location and great service

Great staff, nice rooms, okay location.

This hotel is really nice - the staff were great and very accommodating - they even gave us a breakfast bag as we had a 6am flight. The location is good but not as good as our previous hotel before our Halong Bay trip (this was fully booked on our return though). Unfortunately, a hotel is being built right next door - whilst I had read reviews about this, it did not put me off as the reviews said the construction work was taking place during daytime hours. HOWEVER, on our 1 night stay (Christmas eve), the construction work continued until 2am and then started again at 3am - we were up at 4am for our 6am flight so got no sleep at all and our Christmas Day in Hue was ruined due to no sleep the night before. The reception staff informed us on our departure that there is nothing they can do about this as the government permit working until 2am if certain work needs to take place - in our case a cement delivery, very bright lights shining through our 3rd floor room and incredibly loud drilling noise. I would not recommend this hotel until this construction work is complete and for this reason I have given a 1 for the room comfort/standard.

I booked this hotel but unfortunately the building next to the hotel was under cnstruction. They said it would be too noisy to sleep in the hotel and asked us to stay at "Art Hotel" which is about 2 minutes walk from Rising Dragon. The staff at both hotel were very nice and helpful. It's a great value for the price and breakfast is decent.

Great staff but a few quirks

Amazing staff, decent breakfast, rooms were modern and clean
8.7
Pros: Amazing staff, decent breakfast, rooms were modern and clean Cons: construction work starts at 6am, AirCond issues, strange shower/toilet doors We had 3 one night stays here over the course of a week. The rooms were all pretty good. The doors to the shower and toilet were made of glass, however, which was a bit strange. In the second room we stayed in, we couldn’t control the air conditioner from the room. It was set at 28c which was pretty uncomfortable. When I spoke to the front desk, he told me they set the temp centrally at 28c because their guests feel cold. I don’t know where these guests come from. Made for a pretty ordinary nights sleep. The breakfast was decent. The buffet is limited but they have a menu of freshly cooked items that are all free which is worth a look. They are building some more on either side of the hotel which means that from 6am-6pm every day there is construction work going on. Don’t expect to sleep in at all as it is fairly loud. The staff overall at the hotel were amazing. We arrived at 5am from Sapa on one of the days and they did everything they could to make us comfortable since we couldn’t check in until the afternoon. All through our stay they staff were great. The location is right on the edge of the old quarter so whether you like the location depends on what you’re after. The center of the backpacker/tourist area is only a 5-10min walk away.

Loved the concierge offering to confirm our Halong bay boat trip, really nice people- they offered to move rooms but didn't tell us until we were there that massive construction work was going on next door. **Be aware the rooms that aren't "city view" don't have a window and can smell a bit damp*

Lovely hotel and great service

Breakfast was good as you can order alarcarte and also help yourself to the buffet spread. Try their 'pho' and other special items.

Nice comfortable rooms. Neighbouring buildings are undergoing renovation thus not much great views. Short distance from the market and wholesale centre.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: Many attractions neraby.

We will be back!

Hotel staff was very helpful and friendly (and dressed in immaculately tailored clothes). We had to leave early to catch our flight and they sent us off with to-go breakfast bags which we appreciate very much. Location was satisfactory, within walking distance to a variety of food, Hoan Kiem lake, cathedral etc. The room was clean and lovely, nice small touches such as flowers in the room and the concept of the bathroom was ah..special.

Cons:Restaurant was in the basement so it was a bit dark and claustrophobia inducing. Bath products were not replenished daily. No in-house spa.

Lovely friendly service but horribly noisy

Very friendly service, good value for money, good breakfast

The main problem at the moment is the extremely noisy building site next door. The hammering and drilling continues uninterrupted from morning to evening, with a short break for lunch, and it is so loud that it's hard to have a converstation or watch tv. Once the building work is complete (presumably a few months to go yet), then this will be a very nice hotel.

The location is good right in the Old Quarters. Rooms and toilets are clean and modern. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Only problem is next door renovations so can be noisy early in the morning.
