Fairly quiet street, but right in the middle of everything. Wonderful staff. Decent sized room. Great internet access.

Old and worn looking, could really use a facelift. Lots of stair climbing, not for the feeble.

The hotel is small and old, but the room is fairly large and comfortable. Located in an old, crowded, somewhat dirty part of town, but it was a fun experience. The best part of the hotel is the wonderful staff. They took great care to see that all of our needs were met and were very friendly, kind people. They even invited us to dine with them one evening! Several of them spoke very good English. They did a great job of helping us plan daily excursions around Hanoi, as well as setting us up with affordable tour packages and transportation. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Hanoi.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Overnight cruise on Halong Bay was wonderful. Only disappointment was that we should have planned two nights!

Really nice, clean and friendly

Situated in a busy street

This hotel is very nice, clean and tidy. Very good size rooms with balconies and modern fittings and fixtures. Staff were extrimely friendly. You can book any trips from the hotel directly (they got good varietis of them). Breakfast was very nice, they cook it straight in front of you so you know whats going in to it. I would recomend that hotel.

Clean, Very Helpful Staff, Good Location

Bit noisy in the morning, because of the honking traffic, but I think as you will find out, people are honking everywhere. I didn't find it a problem.

This hotel was very good for the price through AGODA. It was clean, big bed, TV Fridge and nice bathroom. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Decent breakfast with the omelette and fresh bread loaf. One thing, is a booked a family room, but on the first night I was put in a room that was not what was matched on the website. They quickly sorted it out next morning, as we arrived late that night. I think they overbooked some rooms. So make sure you know what room ou are getting. The next 5 days were great.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : We went to Halong Bay for the 2 day 1 night trip. The hotel was great on booking the trip and gave a variety of options. I looked up a lot online and this was a good deal for the quality. We were on the Marquette Junk for 67USD per night, when other comparable boats cost around 100 USD

Central Location.

Room had a small hole near top that is a window. No balcony. Bathroom had mould growing on walls. Staff were pushy with tours. Restaurant is actually just a big dining table in a cramped space. Not value for money at all.

After staying at other hotels in Vietnam we arrived at the Royal Hotel and were very disappointed. We booked a superior double room but were dumped into a room on the top floor (no lift). The room looked nothing like the photos but more like a spare bedroom at someone's house. Hotel was old. There was also mold and cracks growing in the shower (no bathtub). Staff also were pushy with tours despite telling them several times we were not interested. Very Disappointing. Stay Away. For the price paid could get a better deal elsewhere.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Stroll around the lake as the sun is setting. Stunning.

Very central, friendly staff, free wifi in rooms

Alot of stairs to get up to the 4th floor, no safe in room

We were given a double twin instead of a double, but this was rectified with a small wait. The room was tidy and everything worked, with the exception of one of the locks on the door to the balcony, which combined with the lack of safe in the room made me a little worried for my belongings, but there was no problem.

location, clean rooms, friendly staff,

did not meet the 3 star rating. needs a rennovation,

generally the staff were freindly, the room was clean, food was ok. the hotel is very close to the night markets (5 min) walk. also very close to a well known lake. the room was definately overpriced in comparison to the room we stayed in the following night in the same street for less. taxi from the airport should cost $10-$14 US max

Is in a very good location.

Bit noisy.

The royal was one of your typical tall and skinny vietnamese hotels located in a great location but very noisy. The bed was very hard with a really thin mattress but the service, breakfast and the internet were all excellent. No lift so you have to carry your luggage but that doesn't really matter.

Nightlife Tip : Go and see the water puppet show... excellent

Very clean especially the bathroom. Very convenient location, the minute you stepped out of the hotel it's already shopping area. Very helpful employees who speak English that's very easy to understand. Amazed with the internet connectivity!

The TV was out on our third day and until the next day. We were told that it is because of the wheather!? Also if they can provide boiler instead of have to call Reception everytime we need hot water.

Overall we enjoyed our stay in Royal Hanoi simply because of the simplicity of the Hotel. It's value for money and it is situated in an area that shopping (that's the main reason for people to visit Hanoi) is convenient. The staff are delightful, always ensuring that we are comfortable and treat us like a family member. They also went out of their way to assist us especially in translation and make local phone calls without any charge! If you are in Hanoi stay in this type of Hotel as you don't have to hanggle with taxi trying to get into town as most of the 5 stars hotels are out of town center.

Hotel Feature Tip : Great internet connection and it's free of charge!

Room was sizable, clean, and comfortable with good AC, cable TV, and plenty of lighting. Location is perfect in the old quarter near lake, sights, shopping, dining, bars, and travel agencies

pillows a bit musty, noise level in old quarter can be loud, no free bottled water. Also, taxi cabs in area are extortion artists--WATCH OUT!

Hanoi is a chaotic town with some charming areas in the old quarter. The Royal 2 Hotel is located in the heart of all this and near a lot of good places to visit and eat. Our large room was comfy with cable tv, aircon, and good lighting. Noise from streets is a bit loud, and there's no shower curtain so bathing is a bit difficult. Breakfast decent and we didn't get sick. Staff was helpful and friendly and also very honest. Negotiate hard for taxis and don't pay more than $15 USD to and from the airport. Try "Little Hanoi" restaurant on sunglass alley a few blocks away for yummy vietnamese food! Overall I would stay here again.

I think people there are very kind and nice.

I stayed at 4th floor. the Wi-Fi there was too weak! Only that point.

This is my second time to stay in Hanoi. Last time I stayed in another hotel which is far from the city central, so I looked for a hotel in better location. Your hotel is very closer in the city center, and all the staff was so kind and nice.

I was very satisfied with their service employees.

However, the location of Lee Ho-tell, so ... in the middle of the market when she's not walking out. Booking and photos, but the report, it's about the size of the inn, not a hotel ... and the first day .. so what's in bed .... Air-conditioning is not very cool ... your throat scratchy, irritable

Training of employees is very earned it. Oh, and nice ... nice ... I have a positive in Vietnam returned home.

Restaurant Tip : Bunjjareul is next to the house to create a very tasty.

In a quiet area of Old Town. You can also go on foot? You can have a friendly conversation with the English and Chinese employees.

I found a hotel in Old Town the same name. You must check the address well.

DOC HUY ROYALHOTEL hotel was old. It is so tightly bound to withhold the address and a different hotel because the hotel of the same name as the old town. Breakfast is continental and noodles (pho. Regular noodles) can be labeled. To enjoy the conversation is the best hotel
