Children at the SofitelThe Sofitel does not charge children under 12 years of age if they are staying in a room occupied by parents and using the existing bedding. This is limited to one child per family, however, and additional fees will be charged should parents require a rollaway bed and free of charge for baby cot.
For children 3 years and below, breakfast is complimentary. For children between the ages of 3 and 12 breakfast is charged but at a special children’s rate, while those above 12 years of age are charged the same rate as an adult. Renovation:The hotel is currently under renovations and work will take place daily from 8 am until 7 pm, until November 2008. The hotel will try to keep the noise disturbance at a minimum.

This hotel is wonderful. The look, the service, everything. I read a review before booking and it was just as I found it. This is the hotel to stay at when you are in Hanoi. The Club upgrade is worth every penny. Club have the top three floors and your own club restaurant and bar. They have two vintage Citroens and you can tour the City in them. Well worth it. The staff just can't do enough for you and they arrange everything including tours at very reasonable rates. I will definitely return there soon. Go on spoil yourself.

The Sofetel was an oasis for us after a few hard days travelling and to slip into the luxurious world of the Sofitel was heaven.
To have a pool in the heat and humidty was sublime and everything was seamless, a must stay for anyone wanting to have a rest from the hustle and bustle of Hanoi life.
The room was excellent and a relief to discover a hotel that does not want you to tip the staff. If you want to leave a tip you put it in a tip box.

We stayed for 3 nights recently. We found the service excellent, they treat you like vip the minute you step into the hotel. Great restaurants in the hotel and a fantastic bakery. The Sunday brunch is a must for the French Restaurant. The room was luxurious and comfortable. Unfortunately they were having renovations in the courtyard, hence, we did not have a good view from the room. But overall highly recommend it.
