Very friendly staff but just average hotel

The hotel was too small and narrow so the room is even deluxe but very cramp and narrow. However, the location was very good just some steps from the church and main lake. Staff was very friendly as well. Breakfast was normal and not hot enough. I think it is fine if you stay just for 1 night and more suitable for backpackers.

Overall the one night stay is fine for what you get for the price. Shower head is not working well but there is hot water for shower. The breakfast is served by a la carte style and not buffet style. The portion of the breakfast is large so it's enough if you order two for a normal size eater. The wifi is quite fast and there are many channels offered on the tv. It's near to a Lake round the corner of the hotel but we have no time to explore as we check in late that night and check up next morning to go Halong bay. If you are not expecting to much it's recommended to try for a day and then look around for another hotel as there are so many hotels around.

we were greeted by the magnificent he always makes our stay so memorable. The hotel is a must to stay: clean, value, great breaky,excellent location to enjoy everything Hanoi has to offer. The rooms are lovely and spacious. Staff very friendly, we wouldnt stay any where else. Thankyou again you are a very hard worker to please the guests and you achieve this very well, helpful and a great sense of humour.

On arrival we were greeted by Martin and sadly told that our room was unavailable as the previous occupants were sick and couldnt leave the room, we were transfered to another hotel for the night. The next morning we had breakfast at the Splendid star and given a superior room for a late check out . This suited us as we got the late train that night to Supa. We were happy and Martin looked after us very well.

Great Service, Great Location, Bit Noisy

After a small problem with the airport pickup, the stay at this hotel was quite nice. It is near the cathedral in Old Quarter, so it is a very convenient location. My wife, 11 year old twins and I walked everywhere we wanted to go from the hotel. The bells in the cathedral rang throughout the night, but after a while we got used to it. However,the aircon in the room made very loud cracking sounds very frequently which woke us up throughout the night and caused a very restless sleep. Luckily, the weather was a bit cool, and we didn't need the aircon the other nights of our stay.
The breakfast was great, the kids and parents loved it and Martin always provided great service and made you feel comfortable. He often said, "I'll get you anything you need" and he meant it. The fresh fruit and mango pancakes are highly recommended by my twins.
The room was great for our family with two large beds and enough space to feel comfortable. For the price, location, and outstanding service, I strongly recommend this hotel.
