The Thaison Palace was very affordable and great value. The friendly and welcoming staff made the Thaison Palace very memorable. Nothing was too much trouble. They looked after our luggage while we toured Halong Bay and upgraded one of our rooms when we returned. The couple we were travelling with left their purse and phone in their room and the cleaner found them and returned them before we realised they were missing - it was the icing on the cake with our stay. A big thank you to all of the staff at the Thaison Palace, we would recommend the accommodation to anyone looking for low cost accommodation in Hanoi.

We enjoyed staying here and the staff were most helpful. On arrival we were offered drinks and we met with Joe who was most helpful in planning any tours we wanted to take. He was not pushy in any way, and was such a funny guy. We stayed again after returning from Halong Bay and the staff looked after our luggage without any problems. The hotel is in good location to reach the lake and Old Quarter shopping. Our only grouch would be the small breakfast eating area and the food is sometimes cold.Overall very pleasant stay

worth a stay if you are a budget traveller

Not a good experience for us, aircon was not working for a while as power connection was off contact. Tap was loose, toilet seat was not well secured and worst of all the safe box was not working despite several servicing. We wasted almost an hour waiting for servicing to be done. Breakfast was cold and variety is very limited. Only 5 tables available, got to wait for table if there's a crowd. Reception staff are friendly and helpful but one or two were trying hard to sell tour packages.

The personell was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was not superb, but we could get ham, eggs, toast, tee, coffee and juice. That was good enough for us. it is also possible to get help with booking tours, but it might be cheaper if you look around on other places. We booked a trip to Halong Bay through the hotel and were satisfied with that. In general a good value for the money paid. The hotel is also not on one of the bar streets, so it is not so noisy.

Thaison Palace Hotel was not a biggest & the most luxury hotel compare with other international standard hotels, but its beauty & charming came from the simplest original points. The service was excellent, everything was great, and the staffs always smile. They ready to help you to make sure you get comfortable, don't want or need anything else. It was a really good 3 star hotel, and very exceptional. We love Thaison Palace Hotel and make sure to return.

It was a good stay. The room was big with 2 double beds. The shower was not very good, but the room it was cleaned everyday and the breakfast was ok. The staff are keen on selling the tours. the hotel offer taxis pick up at the airport for $15 -18 U, which is highly recommended as you would not trust the local taxis who can take you anywhere.
The water puppets show was worth seeing
