Staff go the extra mile

Clean, good location, friendly staff, great value for money

on arrival, we were provided with a complimentary drink and some watermelon, which was a nice touch. we had booked the honeymoon suite, and there was also complimentary cake and wine waiting for us in our room. the room was a decent size and immaculately clean. the mini bar prices were very cheap. breakfast was included and was simple but decent enough. this hotel is conveniently located for exploring the old town of hanoi. i spent a day in the hotel room because i was ill and i can say that there are at least two english language tv channels! the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Great location with good rooms

Clean, good service, and well located.

Good stay. It is the only luxury style hotel in the entire SAPA area as all the other hotels are traditional style homes converted into hotels. The room is nice, decent view but not worth the extra money. Gym is not a gym as it only has 1 treadmill, but does have a gigantic indoor pool with a nice spa facility. Good nice breakfast provided. I would come here again due to the lack of comparable options in the area.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: You should ask the tour representative inside the hotel of certain trails and just ask for him to show you where the beginning part of the trail is and do the hike yourself. Though you should only go half way and turn around as the official tour provides you a car ride to take you back, which is definitely necessary if you travel the do the entire hikes.

Great hotel in central location

great staff, central location

I had a wonderful stay. We booked a suite and received wine, fruit, and even a cake when we arrived. Their mini bar is not overpriced either. Staff is very polite and welcoming. Hotel is located right next to the night market (opens on weekends). The downside is that it can get a little noisy at times. Laptop that was mentioned as an amenity was broken however they have plenty of computers downstairs for our usage. I would definitely return to that hotel.

we stayed there two separate nights and i must say that this hotel have one of the must greatest stuff that i ever seen. Tim and his stuff are very helpful and kind and trying to do everything that your stay will be awesome. for example when we left the hotel we had early flight and they made us take away breakfast, also closing trip to the Halong Bay Tim did his best to close us the best cruise company and with great price. I think that this stuff what make this hotel very friendly and make you to want go back again to Tulinh hotel. Also the room are very nice and just little bit small, but it is more than enough for a couple. the location is OK but all the restaurants are more around the lake area that it is 10 min walk from the hotel - I highly recommend this hotel for staying in Ha Noi.
Hotel Feature Tip: Great Stuff, Great Stuff, Great Stuff - and believe me this is important in Vietnam.

We checked into a room with no window, which was extremely damp and therefore didn't smell very good. We paid $3 extra to upgrade to a room with a window. The room was clean but compact. The staff were friendly and the hotel is in good location. Have definitely stayed in better hotels in Hanoi for the price.

This hotel is a step above the rest of the mid-range hotels in Hanoi. I"ve stayed in four hotels there, including the Metropole, and this is the one I'll go back to. It's the best value of them all, and the servkce from Tim and the staff is exceptional. Breakfast is well prepared, and I love the fresh fruit. Complimentary water, tea, and coffee are available all day. Mini-bar prices are the same as on the street.

Helpful staff and great rooms

Helpful staff, good breakfast, unlimited coffee and tea

We got in late in the evening (past 2AM). Receptionist was not all smiles welcoming us, which is understandable because it was late (he was friendly and welcoming in the afternoon of our second day). I was surprised that he asked for my passport and said he will hold on to it until 8AM for whatever reason. I love the interior of the room - small room but big bed. In the morning, it was a different receptionist who was very helpful and informative. She gave us a map and highlighted the streets that we should visit and listed down the attractions in Hanoi. Most importantly, she told us which taxi/cab to hail only as she pointed out the drivers of those 2 taxi/cab companies can speak English (but I think it also has to do that those are reputable companies and would only charge by meter), and also she told us to put our bags in front of us and be wary of pickpockets. I love their coffee and it's unlimited any time of the day! You can order as much food from the breakfast menu for breakfast. Server never failed to greet the guests who dine. Tim, another receptionist at the hotel, is very friendly and never fails to converse with the hotel guests. We told him we love their coffee and asked him to list down where we could buy Vietnamese coffee that we could take back home to our country. On our last day, he called us in our room to say goodbye, very thoughtful of him.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: Take the Ha Long Bay tour at the hotel. I suggest taking an overnight at the Junk (boat) for the experience. It is reasonably priced and you will be in the company of fun people.

Great hotel.

The rooms are beautifully appointed, breakfast is ok but most of all the staff are great - friendly, helpful and nothing is ever too much trouble just ask and they will do all in their power to help especially Tim the manager.

We arrived early and were offered breakfast. We chose to walk around after breakfast and returned to our room being ready (checkin is 1pm). All the staff were friendly and helpful with every request. I was able to print my flight details and hotel reservations to Bangkok without any trouble. Thank you Tim for all your tips and your willingness to offer any assistance when asked. Would I recommend this hotel - absolutely.
Restaurant Tip: Ask Tim where Highway 4 is located it was his recommendation, it was close and very good. I can also recommend the SF Spa.
