Great Cozy Hotel But A Bit Small

We were greeted with friendly and helpful staff upon arrival. The hotel was a little bit far to walk to Ben Thanh Market or very far from Saigon Square where we do our business mostly.
The room theme was unique, early 30s style althought the room could have been bigger.

I thoroughly enjoy my stay at this centrally located hotel. It was always a treat to return after a day of sight seeing. Great service, friendly staffs English spoken at the front desk, so easy to communicate. Staffs really went out of their way to make you feel special.

Very clean but our room was very small and even though we requested non smoking, there is a central air con system so all night we could smell cigarettes from other rooms. The staff were average, we order a beef burger from room service, repeated the order on the phone, waited close to an hour and someone arrive with a baked fish!! He didnt speak much english and tried to make us take the fish, which we didnt and showed the menu, another 40mins later and the burger arrived with no apology and just "you pay now or later?" When we asked about taxi to the airport the lady at the desk was confused and basically said she couldnt help us. We went back later and there was a man who organised our taxi and made sure the driver didnt rip us off. Also breakfast is not western and had little options.

Great friendly staff, allowed me to check in early on arrival, very clean rooms, reasonably priced menu, quiet rooms (at back). Note breakfast is mostly geared towards Asian ... no great options for European breakfast. Note the spaghetti bolognaise was made with prawns and calamari ;-) Still yummy though.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Cost for booking tours at frontdesk is the same as at local travel agents (e.g. STA Travel) so best to do at the hotel.

Our stay here was excellent. Good location for all the tourist sight seeing. Close to the market. Went on a trip to the tunnels which was excellent, this was organised for us by the hotel staff. Staff were friendly and pleasant and always happy to help. The only down side I thought was the breakfast. It didn't seem to have much choice and make sure you arrive early as towards the middle of the breakfast time, there is nothng left and it doesn't get refilled. We arrived one morning to find nothing left and had to ask whether they could make us an omelette or some fried eggs to eat.
Other than that, our stay was exceptional, great value for money and would definitely go again if we come back to Vietnam.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
No need to book the city tour they offer as everything is in walking distance. We managed to visit all the buildings on our own by walking there. Ci chi tunnels was a good day out. The shooting was great!!! The river cruise wasn't the best!!
