Great location, smelly room

My room was large, but it had a very musty smell, probably because the shower leaked when it was used and there was no window for any fresh air to enter through. It was on the first floor, so when tour groups gathered in the lobby (frequently) there was a lot of noise coming into the room, also when breakfast service began the dragging of chairs echoed into the room. Most staff were very nice & the breakfast was ok.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Get a room with a window and avoid the first floor.

I had a marvelous stay in Vietnam at the Asian Ruby 4 Hotel. Wonderful interiors, very good service and some excellent dining too. Places with free wifi access is always the perfect choice for a business traveler like me. The location is easy access to my office building too. Very reasonably priced too for a hotel like this.

Stayed in this hotel for one night only. the staff were very friendly and efficient. Rooms were small but pleasant. All amenities were good - hot water, air con, free wifi and breakfast was good too. The hotel is in an excellent location, very close by to Ben Thanh Market, lots of local restaurants nearby and a only a short distance from all the tourist attractions in town.

this is the 2nd time i am staying at asian ruby 4.i will continue to stay there during my future trips. shopping, dental, tailor, optical, pub, money changer, spa and variety of good restaurants/cafes are within walking distance. most importantly, i feel very safe with the surrounding of the hotel. the best noodle stalls in hcmc are within 100m from the hotel. cheers to hcmc before it becomes to be like china....

Nice hotel with very helpful staff

Overall, I enjoyed my stay at Asian Ruby 4 Hotel. The staff at the front desk were really helpful. I love the fact that the hotel is within walking distance to the Ben Thanh Market but far away enough that you do not get disturbed by the morning traffic, noise etc.
The only con I have whilst staying here was the bathroom. The glass door to the shower did not close properly so whenever someone had a shower, the water would seep through and wet the whole floor.

Overall hotel environment is great! Staff attitude to be improve, they are impolite and very rude.
We are request the hotel reception to arrange transportation for daily tour for 6 adult and 3 children. At the end they just arrange a normal car for us. We then request to be wait about 45mins for another car arrangement. Finally they just ask one of their staff to drive hotel MPV for us and they staff is not familiar with all the tourist spot and keep asking us where we want to go as we totally not familiar at all. Even he bring us to the wrong way to Chu Chi tunnels. We have been waste whole day with just went to 2 tourist spot within a day, we ahve to leave HCMC the next day. We will not come back or recommend this hotel to our friend anymore!It is so disappointed.
