Every time an Agoda customer checks out of a hotel we send them an email asking them to write a review of their stay. This is the only way reviews can be submitted. Every review must then be approved by our content team before being posted on the Agoda website. Therefore, unlike many other travel sites, ALL Agoda reviews are certified and genuine.

Everything was good till our last day of our trip. They forgot about our 7 seater airport transfer (paid USD20 2days before departure over the reception) and after an hour (they kept on saying 5 more minutes) later, they simply told us that the driver had caught up in jam.
They did send a replacement car but its only a 5 seater.
In the end my friend was so fed up and she demanded our USD20 back and we simple hailed a 7 seater taxi right outside the Hotel.
Guess what, it only cost us abt USD7.5!
So it is good to have readily available taxis at the hotel.
Pre booking is not really required!
Shopping Tip:
District 5 (aka Chinatown) good for clothes and shoe shopping!

Shopping Tip:
Bin thah market is strictly for wholesalers, they do not sell single items. All in bulk. If you do not have the intention to buy in bulk. Its not worth the visit. If you have intention to buy in bulk, its a must go but space between shops are limited for maximum 2 pax so take good care of your belongings.

It is good to have readily available taxis at the hotel.
Pre booking is not really required unless you have a more the 6 pax crowd!
Travel tip:
If you have more than 4 pax travelling together, 7 seater taxis are everywhere and its cheap to when you divide the cost among many! Therefore, do not restrict the number of travelers to only 2-4! Make it 4-6!

Great place with a good location
nice rooms for the price and friendly/helpful staff

I stayed at the Blue Diamond Hotel for a few days and had a great stay. The rooms were clean and great value for the price. The hotel has a great location and most areas of interest are very close either walking or short taxi ride. The hotel staff were very helpful and helped arrange a couple of boat trips, one to the Ku Chi tunnels and another day trip down the Mekong which was a small group so not very touristy. Breakfast was good with a good choice.Overall a great stay and I would definitely stay again next time I am in HCM city.

The reception area of the hotel was lovely as was the restaurant. We were not too impressed with our room very strong smell of dampness from the room. The reason for this was probably lack of ventilation. This was the only fault though there were good facilities in the room and it was fine for a one night stay.

From the pictures this looks like a very new hotel. it is not very old looks nothing like the pictures. instead of double bed you get 2 single beds side by side which slips out. you cant bring guest back after 11.30pm unless you pay $15 biggest rubbish ever, i have stayedat numerous hotels in vietnam and this is the worst.
would never stay here in my life

Great location
Grwst location and cheap tours

Hotel is just two blocks from the market which is the hub of the area. It's absolutely chaos in that area but the hotel is situation close enough to be central, but far enough away not to be bombarded and walking into swarms of people just trying to walk out of the hotel. We were there over Christmas and it was ridiculous bust on the main street. We couldn't move. So nice to go to our hotel which was quieter.
Breakfast was disappointing. Mostly cold options. Not many options for westerners. No egg bar. I had toast every morning. Boring.
Massage service was okay.
We arrived late and it was a nightmare to get an adapter from the desk. We had to wait until the next day until someone who understood English was on the desk.
The tours were exceptionally cheap. $12US. Transportation isn't the best, but for that price it's to be expected.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Do the hotels temples and tunnels tours. Really worth it.

Good location, decent rooms, solid value
Location, value, breakfast buffet
7.3
This is a very serviceable 3-star restaurant near Ben Thanh Market. The rooms were good enough and a decent value. Staff was helpful. They set us up with an airport transfer very late at night which went very smoothly. The breakfast buffet was surprisingly good. No big frills here, just a solid mid-range choice. We were very happy with our stay here and would stay again.
