this is 3rd time I am typing review for this hotel, I dont know why it is not getting saved.
So here we go short and sweet (or sour) this time:
Pros:
Location is really great,
Our room on the 8th floor at the back of the building was large and very clean.
Loundry was affordable and well done.
Foot massage was fantastic.
Cons
Staff is blah, no enthusiasm whatsoever. If you are trying to book a day trip do it some place else.
Breakfast sucked big time. Just bunch of mystery food that tried to look fancy but since it was waiting for you since 7 am and you came for breakfast at 9am you can imagine.... nothing looks good after sweating for few hours.
Oh yeah, you can get Asian soup bowl made to order - but it has so much MSG your body will tingle for few hours after.
THERE IS NO WATER PRESSURE IN THE SHOWER at least not on the 8th floor. It is also impossible to regulate the water temperature no matter which floor you are on.
Other hotels on the same street look equally miserable and blah.
So unless you can splurge over $100 for more stars on hotel logo......I guess it is ok place.
Travel tip:
Rooms without windows loked really miserable - pay more and go for those on the back of the building.

Just a normal 3 star hotel. Decent environment. Convenient as it is close to ben thanh market. normal buffet breakfast. Nothing much to rave about. Discounts on foot massage can be considered a plus point.

well.. its certainly value for money
throughout my stay in blue diamond, we enjoy their breakfast buffet daily, offering different type of dishes everyday ( at least for d few days i stayed) ; friendly and helpful staffs, nice foot massage (optional), clean room, wifi is fast enuf, great location as only 5 mins walking distance to ben thanh market, and other attractions as its in d happening district 1.. nice hotel!!

The hotel is near to Ben Thant market, and sightseeing area is within walking distance. It still spacious even with 3 beds in the rooms. Friendly reception desk personnel and they take an effort to remember the room number of the guests. We get our room key without having to say it.
Overall experience is good.

It's our third time to live in Blue Diamond Hotel. Actually, the room is not big, but it's enough. Breakfast is good, but it will be better if they provide pho, not noodle.

Rooms were well maintained according to the price. The staff was very helpful and speak good english.

The hotel is nice. I would like to let you guys know that they charge 25 dollars if you want to get any other local person in your room. Otherwise the hotel was value for money and the location is pretty good.
