Within walking distance to all the main sites, friendly staff. Breakfast was a buffet and was ok. Rooms were clean and a decent size...don't expect a view though!

Great hotel with a good location

i randomly chose blue diamond hotel. my wife and i liked it because they had very good services. not only that, they have a very good location. it is closed to several tourist points such as ben thanh market, reunification place and the war museum. if i visit ho chih minh city again, i would definitely choose this hotel again.

Lovely hotel with great location

Stayed in a deluxe room at 4th floor for 3 nights. Was given a room at the back of the hotel as I have requested for a quiet room. However, there was loud music every morning around 7am (weekdays) came from the school behind the hotel, I guess it must be some kind of exercise songs for the kids. Raised this to the staff at the front desk before we left the hotel and the staff have no idea of that music thingy. Maybe next time should request for a room at the back at a higher floor.
Requested for late check out (latest by 6pm) and paid half day of the walk in rate. Reasonable I guess.
Good location, near to the tourist attractions, markets, shops. Nice bed,breakfast was ok. Will return again.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Happy with "Vinasun" taxi's service, go by meter and no extra charges (need to add a for airport taxi for payment of airport exit fee).

we had a great stay and would definately recommend this hotel to everyone. did lots of research before choosing this hotel and was not disappointed.the location was great, ben thanh market was right down the street as well as the independence palace, water puppet show theatre.staff was excellent.helped us to get tickets and recommended places to eat, see, etc.. took a real interest in trying to help us.arranged for an airport pick up (2am) and the driver was there waiting in a nice clean van, helped with our luggage.room was clean, showed some wear on the wall paper, but the bathroom was newer and clean, no mold or anything. bed was nice and firm, linens and towels clean, no holes or anything, nice quality. breakfast buffett was excellent, great variety, fresh. can't say enough about this hotel. excellent

the hotel is in a good location close to ben than market and several shops. restaurants are also pretty close. independence palace, shopping malls etc in walking distance (careful about walking in hcmc tough).

Nhon restaurant on the way from the hotel towards the independence palace

Our first visit to Saigon so this hotel fitted our need to be close to town and sightseeing. Staff friendly and happy to assist. I would recommend a room with a window to the rear of the building away from traffic noise. A hotel for the budget minded traveller it was cosy and clean and spacious bathroom with in room safe and TV. Buffet breakfast daily with the free wifi computers in the same area. Good selection of food daily and always plenty of room in the restaurant. The Binh Tan markets a short walk from the hotel as are a myriad of shops and cafes.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Most of the main tourist attractions are walking distance from the Blue Diamond / art galleries/museums/monuments and town centre. Our three days in Saigon kept us busy and we didn't get to everything we wanted to see.

Great Location in between the Independence Palace & Ben Thanh Markets. Easy walking distance to all the sights. Nice looking hotel & staff are very helpful & professional. Breakfast is awesome with way to much food.

Luxury room was very spacious, a bit of street noise but to be expected in Ho Chi Minh. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good and had a large variety of western and vietnamese. Went to restaurant for dinner one night - was just OK so I would go elsewhere for dinner.
