we stayed for two nights in the blue diamond. the pickup from the airport didn't go that smoothly, but after 45 minutes our driver finally came which was ok. the room size was ok. never the less we decided to book an extra room, to have a little bit more space with our two young children. breakfast was ok, more than can be expected from a three star hotel.

rooms were cosy and the staff were very friendly. the hotel is located well close to ben thanh market and the night markets.
the gyms was a disappointment - it was very small with minimal equipment, but room service was fantastic and the menu on offer was impressive
Shopping Tip:
The night markets are much cheaper than Ben Thanh Markets, with the ability to haggle

we stayed there for 5 nights during our stay and overall, we would rate it as 8/10. the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. the only thing we weren't very happy there during our stay was that there were lots of mosquitoes in the room and we got bitten almost every night especially in the bathroom.
another thing, do not stay in the smoking room or smoking floor, the cigarette smell is really bad.
Restaurant Tip:
we highly recommend anyone to dine at bbq garden. the food and environment was good!!!

We enjoyed staying at the Blue Diamond hotel. It was only a short walk to the Ben Thanh and night markets. Rooms were clean and staff were very kind. Breakfast could probably have been improved but food options on the room service menu were fantastic and very tasty. However, if you are considering on ordering lobster they require 24hours notice in advance!!!! The gym room is also quite small and contains loose equipment which could not be used safely, however to make up for this laundry was dirt cheap.
Overall, we were extremely happy with what the hotel provided for us :)
Shopping Tip:
Bargain, bargain, bargain!!!!! The first price is usually triple or double what you should be paying

Good value hotel
great location, quiet room

we stayed at the blue diamond for a couple of nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. the room was quiet and the beds comfy, and the buffet breakfast was outstanding! staff were friendly and the hotel was in walking distance to the markets and most other attractions. would definitely recommend it, great value for money.

the superior room which we have stayed in was clean and tidy and sufficient for the 2 of us. thou there was no view of the roads/ buildings outside, my fiance and i found it okay as there were nothing much to view.
the receptionists spoke good english which was a plus point too
Shopping Tip:
Benh Thanh Market is good enough if you are not looking in buying in bulks as we made a trip to Binh Tay Market at the Chinatown (Cho Lon) but we only managed to purchase 1 cap.

Great hotel, great location

We stayed here and loved our experience. The breakfast buffet (which has both Western and Vietnamese fare) was fantastic, the staff always had a smile, and the rooms were clean with ample space. The location is central, within walking distance of many attractions. Overall, a great experience, particularly for the price.
Restaurant Tip:
The restaurants across the street are overpriced. Head towards the market for better eats.

first day arrived vietnam-ho chi minh city airport, i only spent 20 minutes to reach this hotel. so i find it the location is convenient. at night time, nearby has wet niche market which offer delicious local food and other local stuff, you merely need to spend 3 minutes by walking distance. overall, i am given 8 out of 10 points for this hotel rate as to me, i find it the fare/class compared with same industry, this hotel considered fairly enough for me to continue stay if next round trip to hcmc.
