Location, Overall facility and food services in the hotel are great No Windows in the Rooms and Breakfast could be improved a bit This was my 3rd Stay at this Hotel. The best part is the location of this hotel. The excellent shopping area and good restaurants nearby are great help. There are also many good Indian Restaurants nearby (Saigon Indian, Alibaba etc.). Vietnamese Restaurants are also good. Lemon Grass is round the corner from hotel. The Hotel Staff is helpful and I enjoy staying at this hotel. I will come back soon.
Shopping Tip : Ban Thanh Market is just 5 minutes drive. Also the night market at Ban Thanh is good to visit.

Location is excellent, the staff and the restaurant help along with the business center are great It is directly across the street from the Caravel nod the Sheriton but and the cost is one third. Breakfast is included and they aim to please. You can walk anywhere int he district which makes the taxi unnecessary in many cases. The only concern for me is that the fitness center is not one you would use.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : In the evening the Opera House has live performances that are big screen broadcasted into the street. One block form the hotel

Central location, friendly and helpful staff, good breakfast, clean room A little dated but I am struggling now to find something negative to say! The Bong Sen Hotel is on Dong Khoi Street, right in the heart of District 1. You step out of the hotel and right onto the streets filled with wonderful shops and restaurants and cafes. Our room was nice, clean and quiet. The staff were helpful and kind especially on the day we checked out because we weren't flying until that night and they let us have a room later in the day to shower and change our clothes before we went to the airport.

location right in the center of Dong Khoi Street -- prime spot at very reasonable prices an old hotel, getting older despite recent attempts at renovation I've been staying at the Bong Sen for more than 3 years now. The location is superb, right on Dong Khoi Street, which is as upscale a shopping and restaurant street as you can find in Saigon. The hotel is across the street from the huge Sharaton with all its amenities. And if you do careful trip planning, you can often find room rates at the Bong Sen for as low as $60, which is very cheap for the area.
On the other hand, the Bong Sen is showing its age, and it looks downright shabby and "old-fashioned" compared to the other hotels built recently in Saigon. They've tried to remodel many of the rooms, but there's only so much you can do with a basically old building. And it's only a 3-star hotel. However, you do get decent prices, and a location that cannot be equaled. So it's up to you, as to what's most important for you...
Shopping Tip : There is a 7-11 style convenience store that just opened up across the street from the Bong Sen (on Dong Du Street, just opposite the Sheration entrance). This little convenience store has an ATM and sells bottled water, beer, snacks, bathroom articles, etc., just the kind of little stuff you need. And up till now, you simply couldn't find those things to buy without talking for many blocks. It is a great addition to the neighborhood!

great locationin the center of it all. Walkt o the shopping the museum and the downtown river area. The staff are very helpful. I received assistance in the business center and in the restaurant. The Vietnamese usually don't usually make six egg white omellette within yoke I found th evalue was great for the service from all staff and the location. The amenities were fine and when I needed something the team responded.
Travel tip : Restaurants, shopping , museums and the river are within a block or two of the hotel.

Excellent location
Good value
Wifi in rooms Bong Sen is in the very centre, with 5 star hotels all around. Easy access, and very welcoming. Check in is usually a bit slow, but then rooms are very adequate - a bit dark and old fashioned, but comfortable. Wifi in room is a bonus. Breakfast is mediocre - but value for money this is very good.

Lobby,Elevators and hallway have no A/C. But under installation. I reserved thr Agoda first time with this Hotel for my trip to my home country. Check-in was so easy and no problem at all. The receptionists,and others were very well-informed and helpful.
The room was clean, quiet,roomy, above average for this rate.
The free breakfast buffet is very good, better than when I had read other comments here. American,Europe and Asia tastes.
The location of this Hotel is so convenient, a few walks lead you to other sites in Saigon Central Dist.
I will come back again surely.,espcially the rate.

Perfect location, right in the middle of HCMC. Reception staff is kind of cold.... Overall, I will recommend you to stay in this hotel if you are looking for comfortable accommodation and convenience location.
Nightlife Tip : Try the Gossip Club if you are feeling to dance.

Bathroom floor is wet after shower because curtain is too short to catch shower splash. Problem is easily fixed. I stayed at Bong Sen Hotel HCMC at 4 separate occassions and it is a very ordinary hotel with neat and clean room. The fit-out and furnishing are very average and the staff is efficient. The air conditioning is of the split type which seems to be poorly maintained with black dust around the a/c seen. I chose it for the location.

Clean, helpful staff, great location, nice coffee bar and breakfast..........great value Exercise Room needs some help, no water, towels, equipment a little outdated This is a good hotel in the heart of HCM. I will consider staying here again. It's a great value for the business traveler, with decent food and a very friendly staff.

nice street, balcony, convenient regular room stairwell view The hotel is situated on a nice street in the centre of the tourist shopping area. A leafy-tree street which is good if you have the balcony view (which cost an upgrade of 20USD). Generally pretty comfy, slightly worn in parts. I thought it was a little over-priced for what it is and would probably stay somewhere cheaper if visiting Ho Chi Minh again. If you're looking for comfort and location, not bad though.

Location is the best feature for this hotel.
The staff were great and friendly and speaking in English is not a problem at all. Swimming pool?
Air conditioner in the stairsway and lift area.
More varieties for the breakfast buffet.
A great and value hotel considering the fact that
it is located very near to all the 4 and 5 stars hotels in district 1.
Great food is near the hotel and is walking distance to various night markets. (Ben Than Market and Saigon Plaza)
I will definitely visit and stay again the next time I go to HMC.

Taxis easily available at doorstep. Internet usage charged by the minute. The location of Bong Sen is good as it is in the business district. Food outlets are plentiful and you have a variety of food within walking distance. The surrounding area is quite clean and there are not many touts around to harass you. This is an ideal hotel for short business trips.
Restaurant Tip : For those keen on Malaysian Food, there is a small restaurant run by a Malaysian on the side road opposite the hotel. Prices are reasonable.

locatiion room well equiped wifi connection intermittent, breakfast was not so good as is the case with all HCMC hotels I have sayed in. great location, mediocre breakfast completely lacking any whole grains items. white flower and sugar rule the day. omelette maker was rarely at his station. Front desk staff ok but not great with english skills mediocre.
Travel tip : thai restaurant on Dong du st in front of hotel had best food I found in the area.
