hotel staffs were friendly and attentive. room was clean and spacious. the housekeeping comes twice to clean and tidy the room. hotel is near most shopping centre. nearby there are many individual shops selling beautiful paintings and lacquer ware. hotel nearby has many eateries too. the hotel lobby shops staffs were also friendly and helpful too. very nice place to stay.

The Caravelle Hotel was an amazing place to end our trip around Vietnam. It was close to all points of interest and we were able to watch the excitement of Chinese New Year on the streets below from our window! A thoroughly enjoyable experience and we will no doubt be back...two things that we really liked were: the impeccable turn down service and the fact that we could request different pillows.

Great location for tourist like us. Benh tanh market, pakrson and many boutique shops is just within walking distance. Except a bit stress up as it lunar new year places were crowded and was told there are a lot of pick pockets everywhere. We even saw a pick pocket snatch one of the tourist wallet that it happen so fast we could not do anything or help him shout for help. Other than that it was a great holiday for us and we definitely looking forward to come back again if there is great offer or promotion.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
cu chi tunnel and the war of museums was a eye opener and should say is a must place to visit.

some cons i found while staying at the caravelle hotel; the internet connection sucks big time, most of the area in the room cant connect to the internet, i had to go to near the toilet to have an internet connection. the breakfast buffet was ok but very limited, good thing my booking didnt come with breakfast so more choices for me outside. the lobby is quite crampped and on a small size. it seems like there are only 10 channels on the tv, although it doesnt bother me as i only watch natgeo if im on the room but maybe for some people it can be a deal breaker. the provided adaptor/converter for my gadgets didnt work, i had to buy my own, just to be able to charge my phone and laptop. waiters and waitresses at the saigon saigon bar didn't attend us, they just passed at us, i had to call them many times before they attend to our needs.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
The hotel is in the heart of the city and its very near to some tourist attractions.

my wife and i have been to the saigon saigon bar at the caravelle many times, and i have frequented the "casino" as well. this is the first time we have stayed in the hotel. for the price, i really think this is one of the best 5 star hotel experiences you can have. the location is ideal for shopping, drinking and tours of hcmc. prices for drinks at the saigon saigon bar are steep, but worth it for the view and atmosphere. will definitely go back to the caravelle

Best-value luxury hotel in the heart of the city.

Service is excellent, and even though I only go back once a year or so, the staff always remember me. The executive lounge is large and very comfortable, with good views of the city. The Saigon Saigon Bar is also a great spot, with al fresco dining with city views and live music.

had a great experience at the caravelle and would definitely recommend it as a value option for a 5star hotel. while not completely "plush" like what i would imagine the hyatt is like across the street, this hotel perfectly checked off what i would expect from a quality hotel. room was a decent size, service was impeccable, room service was great and round the clock (ordered 2 meals at 3am so i tested this one personally!) and of course, unbeatable location literally a stone's throw away from the opera house. the saigon saigon bar on the 9th floor is a delightful experience as well, must go for a drink before heading out into the bustling city below.
