Great location in the heart of city

It was a 3 nights stay for me at the Catina. Located at the heart of district 1, it was easy to get around. The staff were friendly and helpful - Spoke relatively good English for Vietnamese.
The room i had was of a good size (except for the toilet that was a little small). It even had a small study area.
One feedback - we had asked for directions from the staff a couple of times and unfortunately, they were mostly wrong. Just be careful or you will be walking blindly.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
CuChi Tunnel is a great place to visit...

Centrally located at district 1. Easy to move around the city from the hotel and easy to get a cab from there.

the hotel is very centrally located at the heart of hcmc district 1. a lot of good eating places around the hotel. they have good room facilities and reasonably priced room services.
however, a room without a window makes the room feels lifeless and you can't peek out to see what's the weather like outside until you get to the lobby.

if i was a tourist in hcmc i would go in this hotel, because it is perfectly located. the breakfast is good with very good jam and honey, something difficult to find in many mid-range hotels. unfortunately my activities are not in the tourist part.

We had a great stay in Catina Saigon Hotel. The reception team was very courteous. They helped us with our restaurant reservations and transportations (they would offer to get us a taxi everytime we leave the hotel).
The team in the restaurant were also very nice...Even though the breakfast buffet was about to close, they refilled the breakfast buffet for us.
The rooms were also very clean. Will definitely recommend this hotel to friends. Value for your money!

Dirty small dim room with no window. Feels like a prison cell. Woken up at 3:30 am by heavy snoring in adjoining room. Requested change of room at front desk. Duty Manager initially refused and finally agreed under the condition I move back to the same windowless room after 9 am. Many thanks to Rose the Supervisor for upgrading me to a bigger room with windows for the rest of my trip. Will not go back to this hotel.

It's two times for me that stay in this hotel, it good hotel , room is clean , hotel is in business location, has many shop, restaurant, night club, and we just take around 5 minutes by walk to Vicom Center and parkson , it is big shopping center in Ho Chi MInh City.

this is my second stay at the hotel. no more aircond problem as experienced during my firt stay. as always the service is wonderful. had a wonderful stay. will continue staying here especially when there's special offer.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Be very very careful with the taxi drivers. They tend to cheat you even with meters especially when there are no man travelling with you. Its best if you walk if possible.

when i booked from agoda, i doubt that this hotel would give me the best experience. but when i arrived, all those thinking disappeared. I realized that this hotel was in very strategic location; many shopping street; food; etc. the service, breakfast, etc are great. but, no window in the room (the only downside). Also, dont choose top level (5th floor), because you can hear the heavy rain pouring clearly. Overall, it's worth it!
