Good place to stay in HCMC

Stay was fine aside from the fact I would have had to pay double for the room on the rare occasions I would have a guest. Basically it is legal extortion and accepted in Vietnam due to some prehistoric law. I do not have to accept it and will not return to this hotel because of their support of obscure policies that they obviously profit from.

Perfect stay at Catina Saigon Hotel
Very nice hotel design which impressed us. Very courteous staff that spoke English. Check-in and Check-out was very fast .

Hotel is centrally located in the high-end shopping district of HCMC. Easy to find restaurants and coffee joints.
Room was of reasonable size and comfortable enough for the price. However, there was a slight stench when I first entered the room. Housekeeping was quick to refreshen the room and it was ok.
Hotle breakfast was quite a spread and tasted good

We enjoyed our stay at Catina Saigon. It was our final stop after 4 weeks in Vietnam. Our room was a great value. It was a "windowless" room, which I expected to be a little drab, but it was quite nice. Catina is in a great location as well. I would definitely stay there again.
