My husband and I spent two nights at Catina. The hotel location is superb, within 10 minute walk to all the major attractions and shopping centers. We walked around in the night time, and felt very safe in the neighbourhood.

Enjoyed my stay but was not pleased to have to pay for 2 rooms when I brought a guest. They essentially sold me a "dummy" room that did not exist. Seems like just an excuse to increase their profit margin. WILL NOT stay there again for that reason only.

Good place to stay in HCMC

Stay was fine aside from the fact I would have had to pay double for the room on the rare occasions I would have a guest. Basically it is legal extortion and accepted in Vietnam due to some prehistoric law. I do not have to accept it and will not return to this hotel because of their support of obscure policies that they obviously profit from.
