Every time an Agoda customer checks out of a hotel we send them an email asking them to write a review of their stay. This is the only way reviews can be submitted. Every review must then be approved by our content team before being posted on the Agoda website. Therefore, unlike many other travel sites, ALL Agoda reviews are certified and genuine.

Busy location, clean hotel
Very clean, friendly staff
7.3
We booked a room without a window, which is fine just for a couple of nights. The advantage is that those rooms are at the back so are away from the busy street. Our room and bathroom were very clean and everything seemed quite new. Breakfast was good, homemade sweet yogurt included

Quality room.
Location and comfort and quality of room.
8.7
We enjoyed our stay in this small Hotel which is situated just behind a busy market. Staff were helpful and courteous. The bedroom was spacious with comfy bed and large bathroom. It's an easy walk to the central ares of the city and we felt safe in the area. Only slight issue was street noise at night whilst market traders were in action and packing up, however this did not interrupt our sleep. Breakfast was rather basic, fried eggs/coffee/bread/rice. Would stay again.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Bedrooms at front of hotel have windows and some at back do not.

Great location, the superior rooms are first class
The staff were wonderful, our room was spotless.
9.3
My wife and me stayed in the above hotel between the 12th and 18th of January 2013. When we arrived there (just before midnight) we were greeted by the Receptionist and night porter cum security guard. I was suffering from a very painful, and swollen, foot. The staff could not have been any more helpful than they were. I was given a pain killer, a bowl filled with ice was brought to my room for me to take down the swelling. The following morning I was able to walk, and the swelling had all but gone. Every person who works at this establishment was wonderful to us. We travel all over the world, and have stayed in many, many hotels, but this ones staff, are the best we have ever encountered. They were keen to give us the benefit of their local knowledge, and the tours they recommended, were first class. This was our first trip to Vietnam, and were grateful for the information and advice we received. Our room was spotless, and the decor was pleasant. WE will recommend this hotel to our friends, and if we ever return to Ho Chi Min City, we will definitely stay there again.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
A must visit is the tunnel complex used by the Vietnamese at Cu Chi during what the locals call "The American War". The War Remnants museum in Ho Chi Min City is a follow up after you have visited the tunnels.

Location fantastic staff
Right next to Ben Thanh Market
9.3
A great little hotel 50 metres away from Ben Thanh market in "shoe street" clean rooms with nice bathrooms, efficient lift and a basic breakfast service. This hotel has trouble with WIFI, which I needed access to for work reasons, the front desk staff went as far as setting up the lobby computer in my room to help me, I couldn't be more impressed with their efforts. The hotel is midway way between the beautiful downtown area and Pham Ngu Lao backpackers area. If WIFI isnt important to you this hotel is highly recommended
Shopping Tip:
Right next to Ben Thanh market

Great Location and best Hot Water in Vietnam!
Walking distance to virtually all District 1 sites

enjoyed two stays at this hotel recently. it is a modest, well-kept hotel with friendly and helpful staff. the constant hot water with good pressure was the best we experienced in our many hotels in vietnam. the rooms were well-appointed for the price point.
a complimentary breakfast is prepared in a sister hotel with the same name (located across the street) and can be delivered to your room. we preferred to eat in the sister hotel's small dining area.
the free wifi was very iffy, and needs to be improved. overall, we enjoyed the visit.
Restaurant Tip:
The open air restaurant around the corner on Nguyen Van Truc street sells street food and has a sit down area, and is very good. The night market outside Ben Thanh Market serves good food. We enjoyed the place on the far side of the market from the hotel. Finally, at around 4:00 p.m. each day, a fellow sells a delicious coconut-filled round crepe cake from his cart on the street. This is not to be missed.

Some good but several concerns
Clean room, friendly staff
7.3
I booked this hotel because of the reviews, the location, the room safe and free wifi but my experience was not as positive as the reviews I read. This stay began in a very frustrating way. I tried to connect to the Internet after checking in but could not since the connection was poor and I was getting error messages. I was on the main floor by the reception so they suggested I leave my door open - I don't think so! The computer in the lobbby worked so I used that for email.
Next problem - I wanted to use the in-room safe but could not get it to work. They came in to check it and thought the batteries were dead so they put in new batteries - it still wouldn't work so they brought in a different safe but that one would not work either. The young lady at the front desk managed to get it working the next day but I hesitated to use it.
Next problem - after the frustrations with the wifi and the safe, I went for a short walk. When I came back, I tried to call a friend on the phone but the phone was dead - no dial tone. They brought in another phone but that one wouldn't work either so I had to use the phone at the front desk. They told me there was a problem with the wiring in the wall. I suspect they knew about this problem before I checked in but they did not say a word about it.
I later found a leak in the bathroom ceiling which was dripping onto the bathroom counter area. I also reported this.
Their free breakfast is served in their sister hotel just across the street.
The room was large and clean and the staff were friendly but my rating is based on the frustrations I had with the wifi, the phone and the safe.
Shopping Tip:
If you want a location close to the market, you can't get much better than this and the front desk staff were very patient and friendly.
