great location but smells bad, without fresh air.

we took a big room so it was ok for the space and the location is perfect to hang out in the district 1, but to access you have to go through one of the little streets: not very practicle for the luggages. The window is opened in a close space so the smell really sting. the food is not good. Even for the price of the room you can have a better service

Quiet alley tucked away if you want to explore sights close to here. Beds great and comfortable.
Most other hotels very pricey in comparison.

Good Value for the Location. Friendly Staff

First impresssions: Very basic hotel with humble appearance down a humble laneway off Nguyen Sieu however amenities as good as any other Hotel in this category.
Clean rooms with minibar, TV. Free WiFi,surprisingly with facebook access ((rare in VN). Limited English as hotel in not marketed toward Western guests. Breaky provided. Restaurant also provides for meals during day although menu board is in Vietnamese.
Requested late check out and despite agreeing to a further $15 they decided not to charge at all. Realised when I was checking in at the Airport that I'd left a passport at the reception desk, a quick phone call and it was delivered to the Airrport in 20 mins without cost. (After my insistance he agreed to a tip).
I'd happily stay there again.
Restaurant Tip:
Restaurant Bobby Chinn: Turn left/West into Hai Ba Trung and just after the entrance to the Hotel Intercontinental is a series of dark tinted windows with a greeters podium by the door. There's no signage whatsoever. Expensive by local standards but by international standards you should feel ashamed about paying so little for a sensational 5-Star dining experience and with all the hospitality and ambience, and excellent food
