1. Spacious open spaces at ground floor welcoming lobby. Bigger than many of the 5-star hotels in District 1.
2. Nice swimming pool, gym and other leisure facilities.
3. Very reasonable breakfast and weekday meeting lunch.
4. Smiling staff. 1. Little bit far from District 1 (attractions), but has free shuttle every 2 hours. But drivers must have knowledge of English language.
2. Internet is too expensive at the hotel. I suggest that Internet should be free at the lobby or at least at the restaurants. Although the hotel is a little bit far from District 1, it really is a 5-star hotel. The spacious lobby, the restaurants, other amenities, like the gym, swimming pool and spas will make your stay great. And the free shuttle is a big help going to and fro to District 1. Room make-ups are excellent. If you like a cheaper Internet, there are I-cafes' nearby, at a walking distance. The food is great at the restaurants.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Early morning walks are great when there are still a few motorcyclists. And walks especially to a nearby park (lots of greens and tall trees) which you can see and observe many locals stretching and drinking their famous local iced cofee.

Nice and stately reception room, good swimming pool, amazing gym. Shuttle bus was essential as it really is badly situated We got a good rate but otherwise expensive and far from town. I hated the fact you bought internet by the hour and the once hour started you had to use it then.
Only came to equatorial because of a good rate by agoda. WOuld not consider it again as too far from town - but the shuttle bus did take some of the pain out of the distance. Rated as a quality hotel, gym and swimming pool certainly were good but the rest - pretty ordinary. I hated being charged for internet and then only by the hour which began running the moment you connect ed and finished 60 mins later regardless of if you had 5 minutes or 60 minutes. Breakfast was good but $15 plus all the add ons - so not best value and not in the right place - you would need a good reason to choose this over others closer to the town
Travel tip : If you are here and do not want to shell out for internet or breakfast - walk back to the roundabout take seconf exit (anti clockwise) and walk the 100m to the COffee Bean coffee shop - good coffee brakfast and free internet

The shuttle bus into HCMC centre Rediculous payment system for Internet, paying for internet, breakfast not included - extra $15++, too far away from town. Only chose the Equatorial because of rate. A mistake - too far from town and not close to anything interesting, expensive - they catch you for everything - breakfast, coffee etc etc. Saving grace was the shuttle into town. A classy expensive hotel but I can find same in town and who needs a check in room the size of a Russian Ballroom anyway
Hotel Feature Tip : If you do not want to pay the expensive internet and coffee prices go to the Coffee bean coffee shop (back to the roundabout and 2nd exit anti clockwise 100m down) - get good breakfast and free internet
