Great central location, but rooms rather run down

We flew into Ho Chi Minh City for a couple of days before moving on. The good thing about the hotel was that it was central to everything, such as shops, Markets and Restaurants.
However, the rooms were certainly nothing like the pictures of the rooms on the Internet, which must have been taken over ten years ago! They were quite run down, stunk of damp and mould and the bathroom was falling apart! The sink was falling off the wall and the toilet would not flush. The linen was clean, but things like the windows were thick with grime.
The staff were friendly, although no one spoke any English at all, which does not really matter unless you need to ask for another pillow or tell them that the toilet won't flush.
Breakfast was included and there was a choice between Western or Vietnamese. We had Vietnamese, which was a lovely noodle soup.
Travel tip:
Two weeks later we arrived in Ho Chi Minh City again and found somewhere much nicer and cleaner and cost less - so make sure you do your homework.
We went to look at art galleries and museums on a Monday and everything was closed. If you are intending to do the museums etc. make sure you don't schedule it on a Monday!

늦은 밤 도착해서 호텔을 찾는데 여러움이 있었습니다.
밤 12시경 호텔문 모두 닫아 놓아서 밖에도 못나가고,
화장실에 갔더니
날벌레....
도마뱀....
우리 와이프 무서워서 화장실에도 안갔습니다.
공항까지 대절 택시도 20만동이면되는데, 25만동 받더구요.
절대 투숙 금지입니다.
뭐...저와 같은 황당일 당하시려면 계약하십시요.
