Had a glitch with our booking. However on our arrival, the front office manager greated us and very professionally smoothly resolved the issue. The hotel is modern, clean and spacious. Breakfast was lovely which catered for all nationalities. Its only a short stroll to the Binh Tahn Market which is a great place to shop (no major roads to cross!!)
Staff, location, cleanliness and service 10/10. The kids loved the pool to cool off in. The pool is small but very suitable considering it is a city hotel. Highly recommend this hotel.
Shopping Tip:
Saigon Square (shopping complex) is just a few minutes walk from the hotel. Keep an eye out for Gortex coats and jackets. Brands like North Face, Columbia, Jack Wolf are all made here and cost about $40AU/US for a 3 in 1 coat/jacket. All original not "copy copy". Expect to pay $200-300 for the same thing back home.

Best service I've ever had at a hotel.

We checked in for a one night, 2 day stay. Asia Airlines lost my luggage, and the hotel made all calls necessary to get the bag back before checkout on day 2. The staff is welcoming, very helpful, and very prompt. The free breakfast is also solid.
The hotel is clean, near a large night market, and a short cab ride away from District 1's high end shopping and nightlife.
The pool deck and bar is a bit small, but that's to be expected in Ho Chi Minh with the width of most buildings.

Nice lobby and restaurant. Small room but open toilet concept(took quarter of room size). Dont expect doing laps at the pool though. Nice rooftop pool and cafe.
Bellboy readily get metered taxi for you. But its quite near to walk to most of the attractions and restaurants. Get info of halal restaurant from tour desk(very helpful), walking distance.
Good spa and massage. Same price as outside spa.
Dont miss chu chi.
Restaurant Tip:
If your not up to eating at roadside stalls, hotel food and outside restaurant food comes up to same price. About for a plate. Both charge 10% Vat and 5% service. Quite expensive to eat in ho chi minh.

Best Little Hotel in Saigon

To stay art the Grand Silverland in HMC is to stay at one of the most luxurious non-luxury hotels in Vietnam. The cordial dispostion of the staff permeates all aspects of the hotel and leads to one of the most comfortable stays anyone could expect to have.
The compostion of visitors is widely varied as well, leading to one of the most cosmopolitan atmospheres one could imagine. I will make my next booking there without any hesitation whatsoever.
Nightlife Tip:
So to the rooftop of the Rex for a nightcap and stroll through the not to distant past.

Lovely hotel. A real treat at the Agoda special price we paid. We loved the room, and the roof top pool was just what the doctor ordered on those hot hot days. Breakfast offers something for everyone, from sushi to pho to full english!
Staff were amazing. So friendly and so willing to help when we got ourselves in a spot of bother with a taxi driver.
Excellent location for shopping (pretty much at the entrance to the Ben Thanh market)
Highly recommend this hotel.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
for those not used to a currency with so many zeros, beware that you don't hand over a 500,000 instead of a 50,000.

We have head a great stay for 3 nights. The hotel is in great locatin near Ben Thanh market and surrounded by shops and restaurants. Breakfast was excellent and the room is veryn clean.
