It was an average 3 star hotel, but the price was really cheap. Room's menu doesn't have lots of variety and room service can only be called once per day.

The front office office staff was friendly. However, the staff serves the breakfast buffet was not friendly, the food was cold every day. There were ants in the sugar bowl and they didn't do anything about it.

I arrived at Hong Vy1 very very late in the evening due to a delayed from Danang. Upon arrival I discovered that I had in fact accidentally booked my room for the following night. Without hesitation the guy at the concierge agreed to honour my booking and allowed me to check in for that night. The room was a lovely big clean room with the most amazing shower which was unfortunately the only thing that I got to experience apart from the lovely big comfortable bed as I checked most the following morning at 7am for another flight. Hai Ba Trung is not in a full on touristy part of Saigon, so if you are looking to experience Saigon as the ultimate tourist perhaps this isn't the place for you. However if you are looking for somewhere nice and comfortable away from the madness of Pham Ngu Lao then I would highly recommend this place. It was fantastic.

Nice hotel full of lights. A good place to rest after a day of hard work. Have a 7 11 nearby which is good to stock up on water. Breakfast needs improvement.
