The Hotel Continental Saigon is ideally situated on a tree-lined street right in the heart of the city’s business, commercial and entertainment district. The four-star hotel is also just seven kilometers from Tan Son Nhat Airport. The landmark 83-room hotel, with its nostalgic atmosphere and lovely courtyards, was home to many writers, diplomats, soldiers, journalists and spies. Writer Graham Greene, who lived in room 214, made the hotel one of the inspired settings for his classic novel “The Quiet American.

very well located. easy check in and out.friendly staff. good lounge to watch the world go by. balcony faces opera house.

bathroom needs updating. breakfast is very mediocre. furniture in room needs to be comfortable. and fridge in the middle of the lounge is out of place.

the continental is a beautiful building and located in one of the best squares in saigon. the friendly staff were good at handling requests and made it all very comfortable.the rooms are large and had very comfortable beds. the bathroom needs upgrading and i hear that it is in the pipeline.i would certainly recommend staying here because of the grandeur of such a historic building.there was a very reasonable spa attached to the hotel and a certainly must go to.

Nightlife Tip : down the road from the hotel is a wonderful saxophonist tran who is at the sax n art. an absolute must see. also sour sop juice at the giraly.

Room very spacious and clean. Staff very friendly and helpful. Best location in the heart of HCMC, walking distance to place of interest.

Encountered air condition leaking and not cold.

Overall stay in the hotel is satified and the room rate is fair and value for money. There are few good restaurant nearby the hotel. Hotel staffs are very friendly and ready to help when we encountered problem. Very good house keeping service provided. Good security make you feel peace of mind.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : All within walking distance to places of interest. Like General post office, Church, Unification, museum, Opera House, City hall, dinner on the cruise and Banh Tianh Market shopping paradise.

very nice location, lovely room, good history

no swimming pool, no night club with music band

Very nice old hotel full of history, the author graham green stayed there and wrote the novel the Quiet American, Graham Green apparently stayed in room 214, I was fortunate to have the chance to look inside the room. But unfortunately there is no swimming pool in the hotel, which I would have enjoyed spending an hour or two in it. Also, there is no night club or music band to spend the evening in.
