Very good location, historical atmosphere
Perfecy location in the heart of District 1 in Saigon - very close to main attractions. Attentive Staff, various breakfest with good choice of local and western food.

One of the best!
Very spacious rooms, everything worked! Great breakfast. The only thing lacking for me was a pool, which one of the managers told me they had plans to put in next year. One of the best "old school" hotels in Saigon

Excellent grand old hotel
This is a grand old hotel built in 1880, and run by Saigon Tourist state agency. We stayed in a junior suite which was huge, well furnished in a classic style, and well appointed. Each room has individual wifi which is a big plus compared to those hotels that advertise wifi, but the router is way down the corridor, and you can't reach it! The hotel has spa, massage and gym facilities, but no swimming pool. Buffet breakfast is excellent, and staff are helpful and courteous. Hotel restaurants are fine dining and a bit pricey, and not well patronised. Not ideal for tourists, but there are hundreds of restaurants to choose from in Saigon. The hotel is situated nest to the Opera House in the uptown part of District 1. Close to a couple of large upmarket shopping centres. Its about a 20 minute walk to the Ben Thanh market and downtown backpackers area which used to have some great cheap cafes, but it now looks quite seedy and uninviting compared to our previous visits. I suggest you choose a room with a balcony, facing the Opera House, and on the right hand side of the hotel to avoid traffic noise.
