I felt this hotel was over priced for what it is ,from the outside this hotel looks beautiful but when you enter the foyer it lacks elegance.We had a junior suite thinking that when we enter the room we would step back in time, the rooms are huge and and lacked class the only could thing was the view. I also thought that the buffet breakfast could of been a bit more extravagant eg yogurt in tubs instead of nice bowl , cereals there was no muesli, I know this is miner but .when you enter this hotel you expect to have these little luxury 's, stayed down the same rd further down and paid half the price and it was great .

The hotel was beauitfully appointed and located in the centre of the shopping and restuarant area. Upmarket but very afordable for many travellers. The hotel is lso very close to many of the attraction all within walking distance. Highly recommend this hotel to any traveller who wish to experience the past French colonization and the history of this hotel.

Hotel does need some renovations to give it a bit of life again, rooms and floors that is. The reception lobby and breakfast area are lovely. They are renovating some rooms and the one I stayed in has already had the bathroom done which looks better than the last time I stayed. Overall i will keep coming back here for the location and the price difference compared to staying somewhere like The Majestic, which is also beautiful, but a little out of budget for me to keep going there.

It is the probably the best located hotel in town, close to lots sightseeing spots. Room is big and dont feel the noise at all even my room is next to street. Staffs are polite and helpful.

Our stay was very pleasant. The staff and service is first class. The hotel is old, but well maintained. Room was very large and comfortable bed, but had a musty smell for the first day. After running the aircon for a while, the smell diminished. This was likely due to old carpeting, which is never desirable in southeast asia. Wood or tile floors would be better. Only disapointment is lack of a pool, which would be a welcome feature for hot afternoons! Location is fantastic!
