Built in 1925, the 175-guestroom hotel is a historical landmark of stunning French Colonialist design. The Hotel Majestic is seven kilometers from the Ho Chi Minh City Airport. The five-star hotel is also less than two kilometers from the Notre Dame Church and the Ben Thanh Market. One half of the building offers a stunning view of the Saigon River, while the other half overlooks the swimming pool. There are eight food, drink, and entertainment establishments, offering everything from European and Asian cuisine to cocktails at a piano bar. Throughout its rich history, the hotel has been host to famous authors, heads of state, the Japanese Imperial Army, and espionage agents.

Nice architecture.
Wide selection of food for breakfast. Air-con at the lobby was non-existent.
The food at the cafe was not so good. Hotel Majestic is a unique hotel, with interesting architecture. It gives a very cosy feeling both inside and outside the room. However, communication with the staff was a little difficult for me. When the sink in my room was choked, I asked for it to be fixed before I left my room for a meeting. Upon returning to the room, the sink was still full of water. Instead, I found 2 bottles of mineral water in the room...
Travel tip : Better food is easily found within the vincinity of the hotel. Food in the hotel is not-too-expensive, but it was not so great (besides the breakfast).

The location is both ideal (for access to shopping etc) and wonderful, being at the side of the river.
The staff were both extremely helpful and friendly. The way the hotel is structured does means lots of up/down different lifts (three discrete and different systems).....but nothing can be done about that! FRom the point of arrival (at the airport) to departure, the staff were amazingly helpful and friendly. The accomodation was a little tired but did have character....avoid rooms close to the ballroom as this can be noisy if there is a function taking place. The restaurant choice is good and varied and the Club Room facilities were of a good standard.

Friendly and helpful staff.
Professionally run.
Good roof bar and breakfast area.
Beautiful, historic building. The Philippino band who were a bit loud on the roof bar....!
Taking your life in your hands crossing the road outside the hotel!!
The free pickup/drop off for the airport shown on their website is only available if you book through their website! Highly recommend this hotel. They allowed us to check in early. The room at the front had a balcony which looks out over the road and the river ie chaos below.
The staff were very helpful and the breakfast was pretty good. The building is historic and well positioned for access to the central areas of HCMC.
