Great location for walking around the centre of Saigon. Excellent staff. Noisy conference on at the same time. This hotel was well worth the money. The standard rooms were of a very high standard with huge beds! The pool was small and not really worth much time but breakfast looking over the Saigon was fantastic. All the staff were friendly and keen to help even letting us check in early.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Don't book trips through the hotel, much cheaper to shop around at tourist spots nearby.

Traffic jam to the hotel, but it is not directly related to the hotel responsibility. There are no good souvenir shops inside the hotel. Super recommendable hotel in Ho Chi Ming city. the building and excellent location, excellent location when i booked the room online or while checking in, there was no information that our room did not have a window!!! actually we had a window, but it was facing a wall in the ventilation shaft. and although the silent location (reception clerk said we had a silent room!) the room was terribly noisy because of a club in the adjacent building. Travel tip : great location for restaurants, nightlife, shopping and sightseeing. some locations are within walking distance.

Decoration, bad, service, clearing, food, view too many mosquitoes on the fifth floor. The hotel smell good and the service girl very kindly to bring us to room and introduce each equipment, after her gone, we found one of room don't have fruit and call to counter, they delivery the food very quickly.
5 floor restaurant, service and view are good, but looks too small. But food ok.
For a traveler at outside people, the room feel warming and comfortable.
Shopping Tip : Near the hotel, each store you need to kill the price when you shopping.

Hotel Interior, hospitality, service and location. Traffic jam to the hotel, which is not directly related to the fault of the majestic hotel itself. Compared to husling and bustling outside, the hotel itself gives us the safety and the sense of luxuary and satisfaction.

It is in a great location nearby the main roads, and a short walk down the road to some great restaurants. Receptionists were all friendly, helpful and nice. One of the receptionists spoke good Japanese. The view of Sigon River from our room was excellent. The room was clean and complimentary fruits and chocolates were added everyday if they were consumed. The bed was very comfortable. The room did not have a bathtub.
We could hear noise of motorbikes outside, but it did not disrupt our sleep. We reserved a Colonial Room for three nights but hotel upgraded our room to the one with river view on the 4th floor without additional charge on the first day.
We had breakfast every morning at the restaurant on the 5th floor, from which we can view Saigon River in open air. This was the main reason we chose this hotel and we really liked the place. There was a lot of choice for the breakfast including Japanese miso soup and rice. We also could have Vietnamese food such as Pho. The Vietnamese food changed everyday.
Restaurant Tip : There is a cafe called "Funny" in walking distance from the hotel. They arrange the ice creams on a plate very nicely, such as a shape of cyclo or a bee. Moreover, the ice creams use real coconut and strawberry, so they taste great.

Breakfast - Great spread every morning, from fresh Croissants to Dim Sum; Omelets to Pho. It was great and its all served on the 5th floor outside dining area.
Pool Courtyard and Genuinely Friendly Staff. A small thing but a little silly I think considering the room rates, but you have to pay to use the "business center" ie internet. (Wireless is free). From the moment you arrive at the front door in your taxi the staff is cheerful and attentive. We stayed in the most basic room and it was great. If you want a view of either the courtyard or river you need to upgrade the basic rooms have to view. The pool in the center courtyard is a great place to escape the heat of Ho Chi Minh City, and the smallish gym allows you to start the day with a bit of exercise. Off to the fifth floor for a wonderful breakfast. Loved it great hotel will definitely stay here again.
Hotel Feature Tip : At breakfast grab a table by the rail so you can have a great view of early morning Saigon.

Location, quality of staff, competitive rates We were in the new wing and had to go down to the first floor go across the lobby to the new wing and up to the 5th floor for breakfast. When we staying at the hotel a few years ago the breakfast was on the first floor. It's location is a major plus. It is easy to get to all the shopping, restaurant and night life locations. We have stayed at a number of hotels in Ho Chi Minh (Saigon). Its rates and service make it a value stay.
Restaurant Tip : The Hoa Tuc, 74 Hai Ba Trung (walk under the arch into the courtyward) opened in mid 2008 and is an excellent Vietnamese restaurant.

Charming rooms Wow what can we say. We were absolutely bowled over by this historic hotel in the centre of old Saigon.
The rooms were great, even if the flooring was a bit worse for wear.
The bathrooms are simply magnificent - all marbled and classy with great fixtures and fittings; it was simply wonderful to soak in the tub after a long day pounding the hard streets of this vibrant city.
I have mixed feelings about the service here; part of me thinks it's very good, but part of me got annoyed with little intrusions of privacy (they knocked on the door far too many times -- just checking on things and handing us things that we requested ages ago; hence the unexpectedness of their knocks. They even tried getting in when there wasn't a response -- the cheek! Good thing the latch was in place).
Also the English spoken by the staff is well below par, considering this is a renowned, five-star hotel in the centre of town.
Breakfast is simply a must do here.
My wife and I enjoyed this place and we'll be back if we're ever in Saigon again. Hopefully, they would have ironed out the kinks and sent the staff to a hotel finishing school of some sort by then...
Travel tip : I've never been a fan of hotel food. But you HAVE to try their breakfast on the rooftop here. Don't sleep in or think of heading out to get some grub. The food here is authentic, tasty and there are loads of options to choose from (both Eastern and Western).
A lovely way to start the day. One time after brekkie, I had to go back to the room and have a lie down -- food coma big time. What bliss!

The personal attention at registration was a wonderful way to introduce us to the hotel. Our room was always carefully attended to.
We recommend the breakfast buffet. It was outstanding. A great variety and something new every day. Need to improve their spa. Environment not very inviting and price quoted when scheduled was not price when completed. We had aranged with the hotel to be picked up at the airport and the driver was prompt and very informative and thus made a favorable impression on our first trip to Vietnam.
We were personally greeted when we arrived and escorted to registration and then to our room and given information regarding the room, hotel and breakfast. The staff were very courteous and informative. We arranged a tour with the hotel and it was well organized and it turned out that we had our own tour--just the two of us. It was great way to see Ho Chi Minh City and the Mekong Delta. We would definitely stay there again

The hotel was established since 1925, but have been renovated nicely, rooms are big and clean. Ask for rooms that are facing the river or higher floor, otherwise you will see walls outside your windows. Majestic is the colonel style hotel that has been established since 1925, and it located just right in front the riverside. It has very beautiful scene if you have a room at the river view. It also a 5 minutes work to the bar and shopping street near the Sheraton hotel circle. In the casino, you will find new e-games tables like Black-Jack, Bacarat and Roulett. Overall it's a very fine hotel if you like the old-fashion style of setting.
Restaurant Tip : The restaurant on the top floor has very nice view at the river.

The location of the hotel for what we wanted was excellent and the helpfulness of the the staff on the front desk as well as around the hotel itself was great. Also we hired a tour with the hotel and we couldn't asked for better service. The Business Centre was a bit over priced for what was offered. We were a couple of days late arriving and the first thing they did was offer an upgrade at no extra cost and from there we were made to feel welcome. We took a day tour arranged by the hotel and the price we paid was a little more expensive than what we could have found on the street, but our guide and driver were great, both had a sense of humour and were very knowledgeable on the places we saw. The staff overall were very friendly and made us feel as if we were friends rather than guests of the hotel. The rooms we had were spacious and clean aas well as everything provided was first class. Overall a very nice experience and are already planning our next stay.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Be very selective when taking the dining river boat cruises.

Wonderful hotel, fantastic service, beautiful rooms Stop people from smoking when people are eating in the restaurant. The hotel was beautiful the service was great I liked the fact that it was a non smoking hotel. We had a wonderful hotel room it was lovely. The only thing that lets the hotel down was the fact that people were able to smoke in the restaurant. I know that in all hotels in vietnam and restaurants people are allowed to smoke however this hotel didn't allow anyone to smoke anywhere but the restaurant which is disgusting when you are trying to eat. The restaurant prices were also a little high but i guess it is a 5 star hotel.

Good service, nice ambiance, clean room. The spa service is quite poor. One of the thoughtful gestures is that they know my birthday and sent up a birthday cake as well as flowers. Extra mile of service that touched the heart of customers.
