Beautiful hotel
Great location
Colonial feel
Great facilities
Excellent service
We've checked out all of the major hotels in HCMC. This one is by far the best. I can't think of any cons.
The Majestic is a beautiful hotel with high ceilings, marble floors, amazing woodwork. It has been lovingly restored. The service is exceptional. They have a lovely buffet breakfast on the rooftop. You can also have drinks there in the evening and watch the motorbikes whizz through the city. The rooms and bathrooms are large and comfortable. There is a nice fitness room and pool in the central courtyard. We had a room on the riverside. The views were great- especially at night. The windows are double paned so the rooms are quiet.
Restaurant Tip : We had great meals at the Temple Club and Quan An Ngon. The ice cream at Fanny's (just below the Temple Club) is delicious. Try the caramel and the ginger.

Gorgeous colonial style, friendly and efficient staff
Really enjoyed our 2 nights at this hotel. The room was beautifully decorated and very roomy. The staff provided excellent service. Enjoyed cocktails in both roof top bars with great views of all the activity on the waterfront. An excellent choice for an oasis away from the chaotic clamour of HCMC.

Fiendly, helpful stafLovly rooftop retsaurant for breakfast(included) and lunch with views over the bustling Saigon river
Pool iss quite small and enclosed by buildings - but it has been tere since 1925!
A great iconic hotel for a stay in Saigon .
The rooms are sumptous , with full baths , and decent wardrose space .
We hadn't organised any trips/ tours prior to arrival , and it was easy to get a trip out to the Cu Chi tunels , with guide and driver , arranged for the next day , and at a competitive price,Also very helpful concierge we left 4 peices of luggage there for a week before returning for a last night at the hotel - handy if you are heading off to Cambodia for a few days
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : taxi stance right beside the hotel makes it easy to get to any of the sights in the city , and airport , without booking a hotel car or tour at a low price

Historical spot.
River Front.
Good staff, very helpful.
A nice small swimming pool.
A bit of noise for the river view room but the reward of river view is more than compensating the slight noise.
The river view is fantastic, standing on the balcony reminded us that this hotel has some history to tell. Slight noise from the traffic but we still sleep well.
Travel tip : We took only the Mekong Delta Tour due time constraint as it was only a week end trip. Walking around Saigon is more interesting, many more places to see but ran out of time

Great staff
Opulent spacious rooms
Rooftop breakfast buffet
Little outside space/pool
An iconic place to stay in Saigon , with old world charm .
Well placed for visiting the major sights , and also close to a wide variety of shops and restaurants .
Great staff can help arrange tickets , tours, guides , and it is possible to leave luggage for a few days if you are returning to the hotel later in your trip
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Taxi stance outside the hotel so easy to get around .

Pretty Hotel. Good location. Excellent large room.
They even noticed it was my birthday.
I only stayed there one night so i didn't get a chance to take advantage of many of their services but I thought this was a lovely Hotel. Good location. Excellent large room.
They even noticed it was my birthday. Saigon is becoming a large modern city so it's nice to have something charming and historic. The rooftop restaurant is an excellent place for breakfast. Nice view good food.

top location, nice rooms, good service
We spent the final 3 nights of our Laos / Vietnam trip in the Majestic, a little luxury at the end. We were not disappointed. The hotel is located in the heart of Saigon right on the river. The views from our room's balcony as well as the openair bars on 5th and 8th floor are very nice. The hotel is well maintained, the rooms are nicely decorated. Everything was as we expected. A small 'minus' for the fact that the hotel charges for internet access even in the business centre. Most other, less fancy hotels in Vietnam we stayed in provided free internet usage, some even had PCs for guest's usage in the rooms.

Excellent location
Charm
Well appointed
Excellent in house buffet
Lift access was a little confusing due to additions to the building over 80 years or so
The Majestic reeked history and reflected this in every way. The staff were extremely hospitable and courteous. The service was of a high standard. It was only a short walk to the best of SaiGon's attractions. All the cab drivers knew where it was and went straight there The Maitre de at the ground floor restaurant was the personification of bonhomie All the staff were attentive, respectful and attentive. Worth a stay

Location
I would rate this as one of the best Hotels in the world along with the Oriental in Bangkok. They seemed to have restored it to its former glory when it was built in 1926. I can best describe it by its name "Majestic"
The service was impeccable and the rooms palatial.
The "buffet breakfast" held on the 5th floor terrace with a view of the river was the best I ever have had.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Right across the street is the river where you can board a boat for a river cruiser and dine on board.

The Hotel's Old French Charm was a wonderful breath of fresh air every time we returned back to the hotel after a long day. The attention to detail in all aspects of hotel managing, from the Hotel itself, down to the people to people interaction between hotel staff & their guests. Great Hotel!
The hotel has been renovated from it's previous state and getting around in the hotel from place to place within the hotel can be a little confusing at first, but not a problem to adapt to. A minimal inconvenience. One other note of significance, If you stay on the busy street side of the hotel and are a light sleeper, you will be awakened by the continuous car & truck horns that are so prevalent throughout Vietnam. You want to ask for a room on the DONG KHOI street side and as far away from the TON DUC THANG street.
We loved this place with few exceptions. We are not light sleepers, so the street noise never bothered us. The Hotel had everything one would want from a tourist or business travelers perspective. Location, Elegance, Food, Shopping, Tourist Services, Business Services, Neighborhoods, Museums, Saigon River views... you name it. You can not go wrong here!
Hotel Feature Tip : The hotel had it's own nightclub called the M-bar and an additional bar called the Breeze. Both Clubs were located roof-top with wonderful views of the Saigon River. Breakfast is served at the Breeze club in the mornings.

The hotel is perfect! Great rooms and facilities. Really helpful staff... good food. Not too expensive. Fantastic location.
Despite the double-glazing, our room which faced the river (and main road) was still pretty noisy. Bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Many HCMC attractions are only 10 mins away on foot. We also went for a day tour of the Mekong Delta and a 2 day trip into the Central Highlands by plane (also fantastic)!

The hotel has a fantastic location next to the river. The morning breakfast on the balcony on the 5th floor was a great way to wake up, plus the food was excellent. (Food for all cultures.) The rooms are massive, well equipped. Everywhere around the Hotel, was free WIFI. The bars are a good place to relax, with the staff friendly.

Old style hotel, the interior is beautiful. large rooms.Breakfast overlooking the river.
We arrived at the Majestic Hotel and were very surprised it had a lovely old feel to it, the interior decoration was beautiful. The 2 rooms we had were very large and overlooking the pool, which unfortunately was small. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good, on the roof top outside overlooking the river. There was also another roof top bar which had a good band and at night was very pretty. The hotel was situated in a good area, walking distant from the main area of Ho Chi Minh. We will definitely stay there again when we go back to HCMC.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : We went to see the Water puppet show which was interesting and also on a dinner cruise, which was lovely had a very good local band playing. This was arranged through the hotel.

Nice architecture.
Wide selection of food for breakfast.
Air-con at the lobby was non-existent.
The food at the cafe was not so good.
Hotel Majestic is a unique hotel, with interesting architecture. It gives a very cosy feeling both inside and outside the room. However, communication with the staff was a little difficult for me. When the sink in my room was choked, I asked for it to be fixed before I left my room for a meeting. Upon returning to the room, the sink was still full of water. Instead, I found 2 bottles of mineral water in the room...
Travel tip : Better food is easily found within the vincinity of the hotel. Food in the hotel is not-too-expensive, but it was not so great (besides the breakfast).
