friendly helpful and honest staff and environment
i slept at the hotel for one night only and was impressed by the efficiency of the staff. it was the beginning of a long-planned vacation to vietnam and hence the ideal atmosphere to start. the staff were extremely helpful. thanks for a great breakfast
Travel tip : i only spent one night at the hotel and left early in the morning for the next leg of my travles. a bonus is that the hotel is well known and therefore easily located by the taxi driver

Location, roof top pool and gym
orange cordial instead of fruit juice for breakfast.
On arrival we were given a room with 2 single beds rather than a double. This was promptly changed on request to a much bigger room with the required double bed. It was nice to be able to get a pool and gym in a reasonably priced hotel, and though small both were quite adequate for a quick morning session. The hotel is in a great location, easily walking distance to most places and in the central area. The rooms were clean, and the breakfast provided the usual Asian variety including freshly cooked omlettes, my favorite. Overall good hotel at a very reasonable price.
Restaurant Tip : Try the Indian restaurant around the corner - it is very good food and great value.

Centre and just where we wanted to be!
Old fashion style and very loud traffic noise!
On our way back to Kuala Lumpur the next day,and after a 5 hour drive from Phan Thiet we where happy to take bath before we could relax during our last evening in Saigon. All massage and restaurant in walking distance. But you don't get a rest! There is now isolation in the hotel and you here the streets all the time.
We just could not sleep! We had to get up early the next day to catch our flight, and we got support finding a taxi ok.
Travel tip : We expected a little more from this Hotel.

Gracious staff, convenient location near all city sites and shops. Nice rooftop terrace for sunset dinner and drinks. Pleasant calm but small rooftop swimming pool to cool down in. Spacious room. Extensive breakfast buffet in hotel restaurant.
The building seemed dated but solid due to when it was built. Construction of a larger elevator occurred while I was there but the noise was only a factor during breakfast. Not sure whether non-smoking rooms are actually an option, although my room was quite clean.
The knowledgeable staff hired a driver and made arrangements with a private tour guide who brought me to floating markets in Mekong Delta and sprawling home and several course lunch one day, then Cao Dai Temple and Cu Chi Tunnels the next. The professionalism, pride, and reasonable cost impressed me.
Restaurant Tip : Xu Restaurant at 71-75 hai Ba Trung Street around the corner from the hotel, although pricey, offers cutting edge contemporary Vietnamese cuisine of high caliber.

Location is really good. Hotel staff was friendly and polite. 7th floor bar was nice.
Trafic was quite heavy near the hotel.
Hotel location is really good and it was almost as in Paris. Very much same atmosphare. Hotel staff was really polite and friendly. Every service was excellent in hotel. Reseption arrange every single thing what we need.
7th floor restaurant was nice, but it could be little pit confortable.
Breakfast was good, nothing special, but good.
Reservation and changes of that was really flexible in this hotel. Hotel location in middle of the down town gives possibility to go walk many places on city, like a market place and Nothdredam and so on.
Shopping Tip : Many shopping center are near the hotel.

good location, massage is a good deal, staff efficient and helpful.
Would stay here again. Cannot recall breakfast, so it was probably ok -not great, but not terrible. Round the corner from the Sheraton, so have a drink there during happy hour and save the cost of a four star. Can't beat an afternoon massage for $7.00! Watch out for airport trans. rip-offs. Would recommend that you go upstairs to the departures drop off and get a metered taxi that is just dropping off a fare. Cost should be about $7.00. I paid $25 plus they stuck me with another $10.00 for their parking at the airport -not a serious big deal, but annoying anyway.

Most of the famous shopping places can be reached by walking.
It's very convenient!
Room is a little old. Door can't close tight.
If they give more new and good quality towels, it will make us happy.
The staffs are so helpful. Breakfast is almost ok.
We always stay at this hotel. Lower floor is noisy.

Spacious room, very close to Muslim restaurant and mosque. Hotel staff are polite.
Quite far to walk to the famous Ben Than Market.
Overall, the hotel is pleasant to stay at. For Muslim traveler, I think this is the best place to stay, because halal restaurant is just around the corner. There are many shops selling all kind of goods all along the hotel streets.

The hotel is really in central location, around the corner of most of the top hotels. Everything in walking distance. Rooms clean, well equipped, well serviced and WiFi works well. Friendly staff. Good breakfast buffet.
Rooms to the inner side with window only to a small yard ....try to avoid at check in!
This hotel is nothing extraordinary but a very good base for sightseeing and city-activities. On top of that, the pool offers refreshment after a day in the city ...not great, but absolutely sufficient. Although things have a touch of "history", rooms are well maintained and very clean. Air con works well. Overall I felt very good and safe at the hotel and also the surroundings feel that way.

Location. Service at the restaurant serving breakfast.
It was my first visit to HCMC. After doing donzens of research i finally decided on this hotel due to its prime location. But then i realised that HCMC's Dong Khoi district is actually quite small and most of the hotels are really pretty near to each other so I definitely will not stay here again the next time I visit. \nBreakfast was ok but very much compensated by the service provided. However, the hours for breakfast was from 6-9 am so for those on a leisurely holiday i am not sure if you wanna wake up so early in the morning just to catch their breakfast.\nThe service staff at the reception counter were pretty friendly except for one lady (unfortunately i could not remember her name), I was asking for information about the Pagodas and Binh Tay market in Chinatown area, she was quite persistent that we use the hotel's car service and when i told her i preferred to hail a cab myself, she was persistent to hail one for us at USD8 when i said no, her attitude was pretty nasty for the rest of our stay at the hotel. In the end i took a metered Vinasun taxi to Chinatown for about USD 4.
Restaurant Tip : If you get tired of Vietnamese food, do head to the Lac Thai restaurant that is located less than 5 minutes' walk from the hotel. Really good thai food and cozy ambience.

Breakfast is good. Location is good.
Rooms on 5th floor are very noisy because the hotel's buffet is on the 6th floor. Needs to has better noise insulation.
We stayed in this hotel for 4 days. My husband and I are really enjoy the hotel location. It is closed to all the shops, restaurants etc. I wish the hotel has better noise insulation for customers on 5th floor because it is very noisy. You can hear all the footsteps, their conversation, food prepare etc very early in the morning and at night. Breakfast is good, customer services is excellent.
Restaurant Tip : There is a restaurant named something coca closed to hotel. Their food are not tasty but their prices is a lot more expensive than in USA.

This hotel is very well situated for the city centre area. However, we were located on the first floor, and the street traffic is noisy . Without a doubt, it would be better on the higher floors. On the fifth floor, just under the reception hall and the breakfast area, there are noises late at night (party) and early in the morning.
I included these in the previous comments regarding the noise.
Well situated hotel, however the inconvenience is the noise from the street or from the receptions on the sixth floor. It can really be quite noisy on the fifth floor and the first. Other wise, the staff was pleasant and always available to answer questions or concerns. I only took breakfast at the hotel, which was quite good. I cannot comment on the other services, although I did visit the pool and sauna area.
Restaurant Tip : There are many excellent restaurants in the area, We had Japanese, Vietnamese of course, Korean, Indian, etc.
