The hotel's location is excellent, most tourist attraction places are within walking distance. The hotel is clean and the staff are friendly. The hotel is dated and the room we stayed in is fairly small. The bathroom is very tight also and the shower curtains a bit smelly. The food is ok but not great. The hotel is great if you're not fussed about the decor and the luxuries.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Mekong Delta tour was excellent. Anyone visiting Ho Chi Minh should go on this tour.

Good service. Great location. From here, you can go to anywhere in the downtown of HCMC for shopping, bars and eating. I stayed many times in Hochiminh City at many different hotels but this time is the my best stay ever. I was so impressed with friendliness of all hotel staff from doorman, receptionist, waiters... The room is big enough and has all neccessary facilities, especially the internet is very useful for my business. The restaurant has nice decoration with a view at Nguyen Hue Boulevard. The breakfast is marvelous with variety of dishes. In overall, I am totally satisfied and cannot see any bad points of this hotel. I will strongly reccommend this hotel to all my friends and will surely come back again.
Shopping Tip : The Tax Shopping Center next to the hotel is very convenient. They sell everything at local price but good quality.

Smiling and helpful staff; beautiful room My first time in Saigon and I was a bit worried but later on, everything went very well. I felt like at home as this hotel has everything I needed. The front desk staff were very nice and friendly, though a little talkative to tell me some fun stories that made me laugh a lot. The room was beautiful and I could easily fell asleep though I thoutht I might have had jet lag. The housekeeper was helpful and always present in front of my room just a few seconds after my call to help me. I just stayed 01 night but I was really impressed with this hotel and its services and staff. I was so happy and lucky by collecting this hotel inccidently and suggested it to my client in VN who made booking for me. Thank Agoda for loading this hotel on its website.

The location is excellent! Walk distance to everything. And the staff at the hotel was very friendly. The breakfast was unappetizing.The bathroom had no ventilator. Overall, I am satisfied with the hotel. It's located close to the main shopping streets and nice restaurants as well as the famous market.
There was only a few thing which could be better, like breakfast. Also there was a construction going on at the hotel without any notice from early morning...
The room is spacious and very clean, but for those who love taking a long bath, it would be a bit uncomfortable as it is quite small and there is no ventilator.
Shopping Tip : A department store is located next to the hotel which has a supermarket and souvenir shops at local price.It is so convenient as even if you do lots of shopping, you can always go back to the hotel and start shopping or sight-seeing again right away!

good location in the centre of District 1 and good sized rooms. worn, dated furniture and tiny bathrooms with fixtures from another era. First time that I have ever had hotel staff try to short change me on foreign exchange, but it was only a few dollars and I caught it. No apology from the rude manager who tried to beat me, though.
This hotel is past its best days but it may have been quite nice at some time with the wood and rattan furnishings. They are pretty tired now, though, and the rooms really need updating.
Front desk staff leaves a lot to be desired.
Restaurant Tip : get out of the immediate area for better and cheaper restaurants.

Best features - Great air conditioning.
* Great location in the middle of a super shopping area.
* Easy walking to the big indoor market and several tourist areas The shower water in the bathtub drained ever so slowly. Seemed like forever before the next shower could be taken. I really enjoyed the initial greeting by the super friendly doormen. Upon arrival at the front desk, the greeting was one of the best, by several staff. I don't remember receiving this kind of "jump-to-it" front desk people. I was tired, but they went out of their way to expidite my check-in. Wow! Thanks.
The woman at the jewelry counter went out of her way to explain information about the jewelry in the cabinet and helped my try fabulous jewelry pieces on.
During my stay at the hotel, no one ignored me as a person or as a guest. I must applaud the staff.
For fun, my friends suggested prior to my trip to Vietnam, that I go for a drink at the REX hotel rooftop for the view. I did just that. It was from this view, that I realized how great a location my hotel was situated. Again, another WOW!
I would love to make a return visit and stay at your hotel again. I will also be recommending it to all of my friends who love to travel around Asia. My American friends had not ever considered vacationing in Vietnam. I think they will in the future from seeing the photos and hearing about my stay.
When I was leaving the hotel for the taxi ride to the airport, I was in a hurry, running out the door...when the doormen made me feel much better after trying to remind me to slow down and relax. What great guys they were. I also noticed other hotel guests wanting to take their pictures. That says something for a hotel. You could tell that these guests were happy also.
I've never been so lucky at picking a hotel on the Internet!
Shopping Tip : When shopping for clothes, alterations can be done for free, but make sure you have at least a day or two the taylor to do the work.

hotel was very clean, employees were excellent, restaurant meals for lunch and dinner were also excellent and staff was too. it is right next to all shopping.i would stay again the only weak spot was the bathroom it was a little small for the size of the room and tub was too high very difficult to get in and out law suit waiting to happen

Old and run down rooms
Price We spend a night at this hotel. The entrance is impressive and the location perfect (in front of Hilton). When you come to the room it feel like you step in the colonial times (in a negative way). Everything is old and run down. To be honnest I laughed for a while as it felt so surrealitic.
We asked for help booking a buss trip to Phan Thiet. We received a note half an hour later that everything was fixed and we could in good conscience go to an idicated adress and take the buss. It turned out to be a bloody mess and three different places before we came to the buss station!
On the positive side, breakfast is really good!

Good size rooms, good service, central location. Our room was upgraded to a suite and it was very large and clean with comfortable bed. The service is very professional and efficient. Breakfast has an extensive range. The facilities in the room are somewhat dated but at the price range one cannot complain.
The hotel is in great location and in heart of the modern centre.

Near the market, center of e town area. Room is clean, nice and quiet, good design with all the need accessory. Very delicious breakfast. I stay Duxton hotel before, compare with Kimdo, I prefer Kimdo, cos the price cheaper and the room better. Use touch card to open door, security gate after out of lift too. I search more than ten agents and AGODA give the cheaper hotel rate. Take cab about 80,000 to 100,000 dong from airport.
Shopping Tip : Ben Thanh Market have a lot nice food at night. If buying thing at Ben Thanh Market, try to give the price 50% lower from original price. I bought a POLO T with a big horse, about 85,000 Dong (try to use DONG not USD) original price 130000.An LV gal bag cost 580,000 to 1M I bought it at 350,000 dong. Inside Ben Thanh Market have a good money changer near the selling bag area. You can have a good monthly rate there.

Location is the main advantage of the hotel. Hotel has a very attractive design in the rooms.
Very delicious breakfast menu. Hotel is located right in the middle of the city center. Good choice for those who want to see Ho Chi Minh City.
