The hotel is clean and the staff is very helpful.
This is not a big hotel, standard room is quite small.
The hotel is ok for a stay of max 3 nights. 1st night we had dinner at the Liberty 4 and it was not worth the money, it SUCKS!!! So get your dinner elswhere. The breakfast is in the coffee shop next door. It's very standard, don't aspect much.
If you take a cycle be sure to agree about the price before you step in. Write down the price and let him see and agree with it. Some of these guys will RIP you off.
Take a tour to the Cu Chi tunnels its very interesting. Many tour operators nearby. The tailor around the corner is good and not so expensive. Make a portait by photo its not so expensive and it's very good.
Restaurant Tip : Try the Chinese restaurant at the Windsor Plaza, its good and not so expensive. Also Try the restaurant at night at the Ben Thanh Market.

Terrific location right in the heart of the city with lots of good value restaurants and shopping nearby. Friendly staff and nice breakfast.
Our Deluxe room was quite small but well situated on a corner with street views. Breaksfast was served next door in the Highlands Cafe which badly needs updating.
Liberty 3 hotel is situated in a very good location right in the heart of the city within easy walking distance of Ban Tranh Market, a must see, especially for first time visitors to Saigon. There are lots of cheap eats nearby and Cholon is 30 minutes by cab for more shopping and sightseeing. The staff are friendly and helpful and while the hotel is undergoing some renovation as at August 2008 it is not disruptive to guests.
Shopping Tip : Ten minute walk to Ban Tranh Market!

Location - close to Ben Thanh Markets
Security Staff friendly
Rooms clean and large
More maps/tourist brochures in lobby would be good
We stayed at the Liberty 3 in August 2008 and it was a great hotel for the price. We have stayed elsewhere in Ho Chi Minh City before and based on this would say the Liberty 3 represents value for money. The rooms were large, clean and the air conditioner works well (although you can't leave it running when you are out which can be a downside given the heat in HCMC). The breakfast is good and enough choices are there to satisfy everyone. All in all it was a pleasant stay and we felt we got value for money. No pool, but close to the Markets so who needs a pool!
Restaurant Tip : Try the little temporary restaurants that spring up after the Ben Thanh markets close, some great food and fantastic prices!

location, cleanliness, service
The hotel is located in the middle of Saigon's tourist center, but actually quiet although being close to numerous restaurants and bars around in the quarter. Our room was generously big with a beautiful view over the quarter. Breakfast was good with a very good choice of food and drinks. A good place to stay at without experiencing the busy life of the town.
Restaurant Tip : Go and see one of the side streets nearby and you will surely find a place for a decent drink or for food.

Great breakfast every morning.
Shopping Tip : Ben Thah market tends to be overpriced and more targeted for tourists. You are better off going to shops outside the market if you want a better deal.

In the heart of the "red light" district equivalent, but safe and short taxi to all main tourists scene. Can use the small gym and massage spa at their somewhat nicer property, Liberty 4, two blocks away.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Easy to hook up on 10 day trips. We did a 1-day to Cuchi Tunnels and a 2-day to Mekong Delta. Both interesting but with long bus rides.

Even though their English is a bit difficult to understand, but the staff were very helpful and friendly, the hotel location is great, surrounded by all kind of shops and just 10 minutes walking distance to Ben Thanh Market. And for Muslim traveller, there are few halal restaurants can be found nearby so you won't end up eating bread with egg everyday!

I expect better than just removal of ash trays and a spray of air freshener when I have requested a non smoking room and receive one that smells like stale cigarette smoke without staff having courtesy of notifying that they don't have any non-smoking rooms available.
